I understand most of hiro powers, but does know hoe to teleport, like nightcrawler from the men or does just teleport into the future or the past.

do you mean can he teleport without moving through time?
yes, he teleported into the women's bathroom in Genesis (i'm pretty sure it was Genesis)

well i think that was the only instance where he did
at least that i can recall

It could be that Hiro travels through time, perhaps back a second or forward a second, and can transport himself to any position on the planet during that process. His power does not seem to be teleporting in-itself but connected to the movement through time and space. Does that make sense?

i think he definitely can do it without moving through time
his powers involving bending time and space...not one or the other

It is possible, and I don't doubt it, but the complete nature of his powers (as well as everyone else's) have not been revealed as of yet.

Hiro's powers is that of bending the space time continuum.

Let us pretend all of time is circular and twisted like a mobius strip.

Mobius%20Strip.jpg

Let's say on the left of the strip is Location A and Time A. Pretend a centimeter over is Location B and Time A. Hiro merely bends that strip that the two areas would be identical and moves over to the new location. That would be the explanation of his teleportation.

I'd explain more but my food is burning.

Edit:

Alright.

Putting the spice time contiuum, something that is multi dimensional, into 2d terms is the easiest way to understand it.

As of now the shortest distance between two points is a straight line. From one end of the room to another but let's say that reality was bent so that one end of your room was at the exact same spot as the other end of your room. Let us further pretend that you could choose which end you wanted to be stationed at. That in essence is teleportation. I believe all of Hiro's power works on this level. To explain the time discrepency over his jump to NY and back gets a little more difficult, especially with the last 2-3 episodes showing Hiro's power. My original theory was that it takes a certain length of time to bend the time space continuum to match up one place to another, thus explain the 3 month gap to the future and 3 week gap when he came back. But that is shot to hell.

As of now, the writers are going with the "high power" guiding Hiro's jumps.

Anyhow, I'm hungry. Peace.

Actually, he doesn't teleport from place to place. When he teleported to New York, he teleported in time, when he was in New York. He traveled there normally.
As for showing up in other places at other times, it is because he freezes time, moves around, and ends up wherever he ends up when time starts again.

He doesn't have Nightcrawler skills.

we already know he teleported once
he'll do it again

When exactly?
He teleported from the club to the bathroom.
He teleported from Japan to New York.
He teleported from Texas to Japan.
He MIGHT have teleported from Japan back to Texas (or just taken the plane back, not fully sure).

the bathroom is the only time he did it WITHOUT moving through time

I'm also pretty sure he didn't teleport to NY the first time. He was in the future then, so it was space AND time. He went to NY in the future, and we saw he took the plane to there, if that makes any sense.

I'm pretty sure Texas to Japan was the only time now, but I suspect it will be explained too.

Maybe Im misunderstanding you but he did teleport to NY(the future), which is when he saw the explosion and then he teleported back to Japan(the present).

I thought he did too, but keep in mind that according to the timeline they're on, Hiro and his friend flew there. He didn't teleport so much as he time traveled to the exact time he was physically in New York. So if he were to time travel to 2010, and he happened to be in Oklahoma at the time, he would time travel to Oklahoma.

Japan is another story though. Remember he traveled to the top of his office and his workers were exercising on top, saying they thought he was in America. This could be because he altered the past and went to Japan with Charlie, explaining why he was in Japan (he changed the future).

I can be completely wrong, it's totally conjecture. Like Eddie said, the answers are coming...

At the end of "Genesis" he teleported to New York(future). The when the bomb went off he telepoted back to Japan in the present. After that he and Ando flew to LA then drove to Vegas and then to Texas. They havent been to NY together yet.

When he went to NY (future) he wasnt with Ando
The FBI (or whoever) phoned Ando in Japan
So unless Ando goes back to Japan where his mind is wiped by the Haitian
Its not like Neemer has supposed

No. That would mean that he swap places with or takes control of the body of his future self. He pretty obviously teleports. Especially since, when he called Japan, Ando said he'd been missing for five weeks, meaning that they didn't travel to the U.S. until Hiro came back from the future and convinced Ando to travel to the U.S.

Pretty sure he just stops time and does what he needs to get done (Ala the hundred or thousand crane thing, the 'teleporting' into the womans bathroom, the poker games...) unless he actually travels iforward of backward.

He teleported into the bathroom in the beginning of the show. He would have had a much different reaction if he had stopped time and walked to the bathroom... Hiro said he teleported, and he wasn't in a position where he would want to lie at all.

Agian, we've all seen Hiro teleport without moving through time, so why is there an arguement here?

Furthermore, if one could teleport through space AND time, why would you ever teleport through just Space, except to show off (see Bathroom)? If you need to stop a bomb, teleport to the ideal time to stop the bomb, not to the place where the bomb is right now...

Regardless, in almost every case... if you have a reason to get there, the ideal time to accomplish that goal is almost always different from the time you would arrive by conventional travel.

There is the possibility that Hiro may not be good enough with his power to effectively teleport without distorting time at this point... but it is clear that he can, even if he's not good at it. The only reason he didn't teleport to present day new York is that he was following the comic book...

I think Hiro isnt able to control to what time he teleports
Like in the diner when he tries to teleport back one day but ends up six months in the past

He can bend time and space. Presumably he bends time to time travel, and space to teleport. It just so happens he often bends the other when trying to use one because his powers are not yet fully controlled.
