How stupid is that? :csad:

I don't wanna see sequences/scenes and clips from the movie out of their original and "emotional" context.

Why do blu-ray menus are "designed" to show pivotal moments of the movie?
It's not a fast food, it's not MacDonald's, it's art! :cmad:

They should respect the buyers more.

I hate, hate, hate to see sequences from the movies I love out of their original context. It ruins the movie experience for me.

Who does agree with me?

I agree to an extent, sometimes a small part of movie clip is included so that viewers who want to search for a particular scene can locate it easily but Blu-rays should have some built in system where you can switch between that and a Text based menus.

There should be a choice to switch between the two.

The Godfather is the worst offender I've seen:

Yeah, but out of context, can you really tell what's going on there?

I think the OP is making a point that viewers should be able to see scenes for the first time when they watch the movie, not before they start watching it, the experience is ruined.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of most Blu-Ray menus. The old DVD menus from 10-15 years ago showed more artistry and were all around better on average.

Exactly!

Absolutely. They were much more respectful.

Netflix does the same thing. Wish they could just show a movie poster and leave it at that. Post spoilers with pictures sometimes showing movies stills of next episode ruining rerurning characters and it pisses me off.
