Batman Begins I like batman begin costume

I personally loved the bat-logo on the suit in Begins more than the actual Begins symbol(used on the cover and all). Overall, I really did like the Begins suit. I've always been a bigger fan of the industrial look(Begins, Returns) as opposed to the suit with the fake looking rubber 6-pacs. I didn't like the "panther neck" nor clasps for the cape but I liked the expression on the cowl. Anyone else notice the gauntlets were re-done from the previous films and comics? Instead of scallops/fin like, they're more stream line and look like gauntlets you'd see in real life. Utility belt was decent too.

Hell yeah. I didn't like the clasps on the cowl either--err, I mean...:ninja:

I actually really like the panther neck, it's one of the things I'm saddest to lose in the TDK suit. Bale was right when he said it makes him look like a beast. And I wish I could see what it was everybody hates about those danged clasps, they just don't bother me.

I've been watching this thread with great ferocity in hopes that my question about the clasps will finally be answered, but no brave soul has stepped up as of yet....

To the answer....plate. With the bat of.....opinion. To hit the question I pitched right out of the park. Or even just a bunt.........would be good.

The clasps were there to make it look more like a bondage outfit. That must be a WB memo to every Batman director, that they have to make the batsuit look like a bondage outfit.

The thing that always ruins these...movie suits is the fact is looks like a damned once peice suit. I want there to sort of be a subtle hint of pants. Otherwise Batman just looks like a black rubber mannequin with no genitals.

Haha, yeah. But in the leaked pics there are traces of balls. I don't focus on that area too much though. :ninja:

Btw, loving the avatar. Matt Wagner ftw.

i hate it. in pics it looks alright, but in the movie it looked like crap, especially with the creases and that horrible egghead cowl, and the worst part for me was the supertight mouthpiece.

For me, it was the opposite. Before the movie came out, I thought it looked horrible in the pics, but thought it looked great in the actual movie. I agree with you about the mouthpiece, though. Made it look like it would be uncomfortable to talk... guess it was one more reason for Batman not to say much, though. LOL

well....he did kinda talk alot...lets pray he doesnt in TDK. i cant get over how silly he looked in that scene where he blubbered "shes been poisoned by a neuralhypolblahblahpanicinducingtoxinblahblah!", that was really bad.

The only reason people like the Batman Begins suit is because they pre-liked everything in this film. FACT

Batman Returns had the best looking suit imo or maybe it was just Keatons amazing performance as batman.

I hate to ruin your theory but I pre-liked everything about this film except the suit, that I always hated. After watching the movie I not only continued hating the suit but thought the movie needed a lot of improvments as well. That would go against pre or post liking something.

Bondage outfit? Sorry, but you're confusing the BB suit with what Schumacher did. When you add nipples to the Batsuit, then that is a bondage suit. Big time!!

Nipples, clips, another rubber suit, it's all pointless. WB, Nolan, etc. need to invest in something that actually resembles Batman.

Thing is, they did invest in something that looks like Batman.

I have sculpted all of the movie suits, except for the ice add-ons in B+R. my conclusion is that the overall shape, or form of this suit is really the best. the most dynamic, and put together well. However when they first showed teaser pics, I wasn't too knocked out with it or the car. A lot of it is the angle and position of the character when they shoot the pic. For example the first tumbler shot seen was in the woods, with the rear end sticking out of some bushes. In all of this stuff, if you shoot from a wrong angle, it can look funny. notice in this pic how the lats give this torso a tremendous heroic "V" shape. They never took a pic in this pose. All the other movie suits have no lats to speak of, not like this.

Ummm....doesn't Batman's costume require cowl, bat ears, cape, gauntlets, etc.? That pretty much what was used in Batman Begins. I don't know where people get that it don't resemble Batman when it does. People stop using excuses & deal with it. Batman's costume has pretty much wore black for 18 yrs in the movies. Why do people still complain about the look for that long? I think it sad & quite an obsession. Oh well.

I thought the Begins suit was great, best of all was that it was completely black. The cowl and body armour actually do make him look like a "Dark Knight".

A child's Halloween costume has all those things too but we don't want to see that on screen and I doubt anyone would call the child wearing it Batman. The point is that it is an obsession otherwise we wouldn't be hear expressing our opinions. People try to brag about the Begins suit by saying it's new and realistic when in reality it's just another rubber suit and none of this is realistic. Not only was the costume just another fake impression of what Batman is it's more of a mix between the Green Goblin and Robocop than Batman. If Begins is supposed to be "The Batman Movie" that defines the character than why not just for once go with something that isn't only black and rubber. There are creative ways to make a Batman costume look similar to the comics and be armored than to make it look robotic, monochromatic, too tight on the head, cape clipped, and have an ever changing length cape. Having the Batman essentials, cape, cowl, ears, gauntlets, etc. doesn't make it Batman when the rest of the costume is a far cry from a Batman suit. Putting all those things on Spiderman still makes him Spiderman, putting all those things on the rubber suit in Begins makes it a man with rubber suit. To me it's not Batman and TDK is even farther removed from it.

I'm glad you like it and if you see the comparison in these pics more power to you. I hate the Begins mask, it looks bird like not Bat like. There are so many bumps and grooves that it deters from the overall look for me. Let's not forget that the mouth opening looks like Bale is going to pop out of it because it's too tight and small. Again, if you like it that's fine but I think it's bad.
