I need help with something!

Everytime my mom uses my computer she does something dumb. This time she accidently installed that fun web product thing (http://www.funwebproducts.com/). It was a pop up ad at some site she was at.

So, my first question is if that fun web product thing is safe? Secondly, why can't I delete it?! I keep deleting it and it keeps coming back!

if add/remove program doesn't stop it, you have to look for the exe. That's all I know. I got one of those once and my aunt deleted it all for me. They are a *****. You are still using IE? Get rid of it quickly.

Download and install Ad-Aware and run a scan for malware. I use Norton and sometimes Norton failed to detect spyware and adware in your system. Ad-Aware does that effectively. http://www.lavasoftusa.com/products/ad-aware_se_personal.php

Set her up a separate user account and set it as a limited user, not administrator. That way, she can still browse/chat/e-mail/whatever, but can't screw the system up by installing nasties. If she really needs to install something new, you could do it for her on your own account.
