Specifically, scripts (of all kinds). Any recommendation? I checked online and also checked Google Books :-)ikyn) but there are sooo many titles..

The only way you're going to learn to write is to write yourself. No book can teach you that.

Have you tried your local library?

wasn't about writing, but writing styles--thanks for the recommendations

Stephen King's On Writing

I was fairly wary of King and for a ong time and considered him "trash fiction." Then I got off my high horse and read On Writing. I soon realized that he knows how to laugh at himself, and also that both his life story and advice are quite compelling.

Speaking of scriptwriting, can anyone reccomend any good cheap alternitives to Final Draft? FD's a bit out of my budget right now:yay:

Although I mostly do short stories, I downloaded this off a recommendation when I was messing around with a screenplay.

Pretty extensive in what it can do, especially for something that's free.
