Amen to that. I was on almost double minimum wage because it was a tight deadline and they needed everyone they could get. Ten hour days on £6.45 an hour, free hardhat and hi-vis, more tea than I knew what to do with. I'd do it again over data entry or warehouse work.

It's mostly filtered water. It's 130% vitamin c.

Holy ****, I think I would loose it if I worked ten hours days at a constrcution site. Especially if I had another damn big ass pile of wood to carry all by myself into a big trash can thingy. I had a wheel barrow...but the trash thingy got fulled...so I had to end up tossing the wood into it. and it took over 3 hours to finish the damn pile. of course I finished 10 minutes early that day, but If I was the hulk...I would have hulked up and went on a rampage 3 times.

I think most couldn't tell from where I was standing what I was- I was a lot skinner when I was 16, and we were working a bit back from the road. It wasn't anything crude from me anyhow- mostly just a whistle.

I don't know if I took a half hour lunch. I just ate my food fast and drank the water..rested some...I say it was 15-30 minutes. I was more concerned about getting everything done that day than breaks. I took some breaks...only when my legs hurt. I didn't strectch never,....so...yeah, probably overworked myself.

I felt like hulking up since hardly no one helped me on that big pile of wood. I did like 95% of that big ass pile.

Sadly there are zero human testing drug thingys in the area that I know of. You know...like eat a brownie for...oh...$50. Side effects may include, temporary loss of vision, seeing things, thinking you can fly, etc. Somone has got to test new food/drugs for the masses. and it can't be animals!

Are u near a college? Here in Raleigh, NC State is always having something that pays 100 to 300 bucks for studies.

Try maybe an electrical construction company. You'll use your brain and brawn,not too much heavy lifting. Try union and rats.

I'm sticking to trying to launch my screenwriting career (which could happen at any minute or take years, possible decades), but need some $$$ in the mean time.

I've tried to get a job, but the only people that want me are construction (not worth the money). I just got the idea about the marines and taking steroids to become a bodybuilder. However, I rather get big naturally, but as we know most bodybuilders aren't naturally big. And I am lifting weights, but at 5'5 being a bodybuilder seems unlikely.

I rather not go to community college this summer because I need the money. I want to start saving and open some CD's at the bank and buy ****, and give money to my parents.

I'm not saying you aint got a shot, but your screenwriting career aint gonna happen in the foreseeable future. With age comes maturity, more expressed opinions on storytelling and life experience you can pour into your work. Unless you would like you write for Soap operas because then you've been ready for 14 years.

With age comes maturity, more expressed opinions on storytelling and life experience you can pour into your work. Unless you would like you write for Soap operas because then you've been ready for 14 years.

I'm going to be very blunt here:

If you aren't willing to do construction, then get your ass to college and get a degree. Guess what, dreams of a screenwriting career are lovely and all, but you also need to recognize the fact that it is VERY unlikely that you will make a career out of it. It is a competitive field and therefore you MUST have a back-up plan!
