I'm making a film trailer for college.

This is the synopsis:

Smile follows the story of Tim Freeman, a 20 year old office Clerk, who just hasn't got his head around how to control his own life. When his own selfish and slobbish nature forces him to lose all that makes him happy, he knows that he has to change the way he lives. When an advertisement tells him that happiness comes when the right doors are opened,he journeys to find his true self and leave the old Tim, behind.

These are the songs I already have:

Smile-The Supernaturals
Don't worry, Be happy-Bob Marley
Andrew Sisters-Mister Sandman

I basically need songs with great tunes...fairly corny but not in an over the top way. Which would go well with a trailer.

This script for the trailer will give you some idea as well

Tim:

I believe that the very purpose of life is to be happy. From the very core of our being we desire contentment.
I have found that the more we care for the happiness of others, the greater is our own well being. Well that's what the Dali
Lama says anyway.

I always thought I knew what happiness was. Going to the pub and getting drunk, Sustaining a loving relationship, Keeping up an easy job, but most importantly looking out for number one.
But I was wrong.
Now I look back and see the man I was and realise that I have to go forward and find the man I need to be. I'm not exactly sure what happiness is,
but all I do know is that to find my own happiness,I've got to find the right door. Only then, will I be able to look back and smile.

ELO- Mr blue sky :)

Also i need some help, does anyone have or know where i can get Mozarts sonata k448 played on piano, because i need a copy for some kids with epilepsy

Skyclad - The Widdershins Jig

A wise man's son and Wednesday's child in each other found a friend,
And searched together for the treasure hiding at the rainbow's end.
To wise man's son and Wednesday's child all is white that is not black,
They dance in symbiotic deadlock--one step forward two steps back,
Playing karmic snakes and ladders (all your sins will find you out),
When all your gains are lost in vain on cosmic wings and roundabouts.
At the roadside manhood's flower--blighted by a wayward youth,
Has cast its seed on well-worn pathways--borne on winds of whispered truth.
We march to drums of our own choosing--each of them keeps different time,
As you are free to live your own life so I am free to live mine.
Now wise man's son and Wednesday's child can recognise their own mistakes,
And to these ends they make amends for every promise that they break.
Both wise man's son and Wednesday's child view the world in red and green,
Await the day when they die laughing--thinking of the sights they've seen.
I tell you now if they were given chance to live their lives again--
Wise man's son and Wednesday's child would make the same mistakes as then.
At the roadside manhood's flower--blighted by a wayward youth,
Has cast its seed on well-worn pathways--borne on winds of whispered truth.
We march to drums of our own choosing--each of them keeps different time,
As you are free to live your own life so I am free to live mine.

I thought of another which would work well:

No Surprises-Radiohead

Also to point out I'm looking more towards an indie/rock kinda feel....Because it reflects the film best.

True Colors - Cyndi Lauper
Man in the Mirror - Micheal Jackson
Waterfalls - TLC

Creep- Radiohead
Rusty cage -Soundgarden
Happy Jack - The Who  lol etc.

Changes - David Bowie
Once In A Lifetime - David Bowie

Have you finished it yet? Which songs did you end up choosing?

I ended up choosing:

Mister Sandman- The Chordettes
Make me smile (Come up and see me)- Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel
No Surprises- RadioHead
Smile-The Supernaturals

and I used them in that order :):D

and the trailer is 95% finished. All of it and I am really pleased with. Other people that have watched what I have done so far have said it was good :):D

Thanks for asking Redmarvel :D:up:

Well, the character is based off of Tim from the Office.

Tim Canterbury is the character from the office.

and Martin Freeman is the guy that plays him.

So we mixed the two names together.
