Mika Brzezinski of MSNBC's morning show, "Morning Joe," refuses to do a story about Paris Hilton.

My responce? FINALLY! Hopefully more journalists follow her example. :woot:

That women definately knows what's really important.

Very unprofessional. Her job is to report, it doesn't matter if she likes the news or not. She can't just refuse to report something because she's tired of hearing about it, or think it's unimportant. She's supposed to be completely objective. Yeah the Paris Hilton thing is silly, but people obviously are interested and want to hear about it, and that's why it's being reported on.

Then they can turn on the 5 million other news shows that are broadcasting it as it's lead.

What's going on in other countries is much more important than a socialite getting into trouble.

Oh don't be so wet

Go watch E! and leave the real news to the grown ups.

Yes because it's so abnormal for a news network to follow a trial and/or subsequent imprisonment of a high profile celebrity. No networks ever aired stories about the Michael Jackson or O.J. Simpson trials. Nope none at all.

Hmmm, child molestation, double homicide, DUI... you're right, it fits. :whatever:

she's out of jail. Good for her. Moving on....

The irony is that now that she's out she'll be going back to the same old things but with movie, book, and TV deals promising even more infamy than before.

Now watch her ass get fired or demoted to some poor time slot next week.

I saw the YouTube on this about a week ago, so if she's being canned they're being rather pleasant in terms of her remaining time.

While it is unprofessional, I still give her props. It's not news. It's stupid, and it went beyond professionalism for her--it was a matter of principle and I commend her.

what the hell has she done besides being rich and stupid? mj and oj at least have things they will be remembered for. if you are really interested in paris hilton, i am making spaghetti right now, thats about as important as her news.

That was spectacular, they should've let her burn it too. Then it would've been ever funnier if all the other papers on the desk caught fire.
