I say we jump Carlos Mencia.

Mencia's a thief, a fraud and a hack. His material (well, actually the material he steals and butchers) is crap that only appeals to idiots.

Neither Mencia or George Lopez are funny. They just... aren't funny.

Well, he is an extremely awful comedian who plagiarizes his jokes and is not funny at all, nor is he even Mexican... yes, I suppose we should.

not defending anyone in particular.....but comedians have been stealing each others' material since FOREVER....

I liked the first season of Mind of Mencia. I have it on dvd actually. Havn't seen any of the other seasons though. The one stand up show I saw I enjoyed too.
I've seen all the joke stealing videos on the net, but I've seen more than Mencia tell the same "joke". Comics have been telling alot of the same jokes for years, just putting their own spin on it. Also, I could be wrong, but I think I remember reading somewhere that George Lopez told Mencia he could use a portion of his material in one of his shows. Could be wrong on that though.

Don't forget Robin Williams. I hear that when he's not rapid-firing between inane characters, he steals material from other comedians.

^Okay, now you're just going to far. Robin Williams is the man.

Yeah. I would have to agree.

Robin Williams is the man.

but at the start of his career...lots of people said that Williams was a thief and a hack....

Don't forget Dane Cook. I say Brian Regan should lead our charge

Whether you like the guy or not, I am rather ambivalent about him....he did sell out both MSG and the Garden in Boston....No single performer (non-musician) has sold out MSG since Dice....

And he runs a cockfighting league, kicks dogs, steals candy from babies, and refuses to go green with his home

It's true...Robin Williams steals a lot of material.

I heard that he used to go to small night club, steal the jokes of new comics, then use them for himself. Since the comics were new and never heard of, Williams could make the jokes popular without any backlash from the media.

And what I said I heard as well. If you hear it from someone, it has to be true

Name some please.

What about Dane Cook? He's funny.

It's all lies.

How convenient. :whatever:

I doubt that, since George Lopez punched Mencia out.

I do have a tendency for hyperbole, but I think that that at least shows Lopez never gave Mencia permission to use his jokes.

Its not like "jokes" are copyrighted material.....no one "owns" a joke....if it isn't property, how do you steal it? (just for the sake of argument)
