I screwed up my xbox live...

In retrospect, I guess it was kind of dumb of me to try to set up my xbox live after going a few days without much sleep. But I did it anyway and ended up setting up my account for a profile I created for a friend when playing Left 4 Dead off-line a week ago. I don't really care about the gamerscore stuff, but I'm really upset because my save data apparently can't be transferred from the profile I was actually using into the other profile.

It really sucks with my on-line muliplayer capable games. I got Pure a few weeks ago and finally got 1st in everything and now I'll have to do it all over just so I can play on-line with the ATVs I made. And of course, I'll have to remake all my ATVs as well.

Does anyone know how to somehow copy save data and transfer it to another profile? I don't want to violate any xbox live stuff, because I really couldn't care less about the gamerscores, but I want to be able to transfer my save data.

Any help would be much appreciated.

So, you set up the xbox but didn't use the gamertag you were already using? To do that you have to go Account Management/Memberships and select Restore Gamertag from Xbox Live.

For any Live liscenses that you may have had, for downloaded games an such, you have to transfer the licenses.http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemuse/xbox360/licensemigration/

As for your saved data, you need a memory card to be able to transfer it to the new one. All the saved data is saved on the Hard Drive.

As for why you paid to have XBL with a new account, when you already had one floating around, I just don't know.

No, I didn't have an xbox live account. I accidently set up the live account for the Profile that I had made for my friend so he could play left 4 dead with me a week or so ago. So what I'm trying to do is move the saved games from the Profile I was using before I got Live to the Profile I I made for my friend. Because now I'm pretty much just stuck with the profile I made for my friend that has no save data other than L4D because it's the only one that can go on Live.

Sorry about making that confusing in the first post. I was using User Name when I should have been saying Profile.

It erks me that you can't use at least a couple different profiles under one xbox live account that's on the same system.
