The writers could take the x men and turn them into geeks from high school. prof. X could be the counselor, the brotherhood could be the football team and bullies, and magneto could be the coach. picking on geeks and banning them from certain things is like discrimination against mutants so it would be neat to see...

...thoughts, anyone?

Thought the X-Men manga book has done this high school thing.

did that series have the main characters have powers? because what i'm talking about is them not having powers at all. (and it being english)

Um...you want them to be normal high school kids, no powers?

I suppose there won't be a lot of people into it...without the adventure thrill part, unless you really, really love the characters.

That's just it!! People can/could really relate to those characters!

Sounds like it would alienate quite a bit of the fan base.

but wouldn't it be neat to see them in an alternate high school universe?

I think it would sell less than the Marvel Adventures stuff. That has a kiddie vibe and kids dont want to read about normal people

Most high school comics with normal kids are about romance.:\

since when is kids having to go to a councelor because they are being treated like outcasts,(like 616 x men), a kiddy thing? i'm bullied and have gone to a counslor, and yet i don't say my life is kiddy. i just think people could relate to it that's all.

thats a pretty basic premise you'd see on a cartoon for children. I dont think most adults would really care to read and a teen isssue like this would most likely have to be marketed towards a younger audience

you know what, x men noir did something to what i was talking about. thugs with abilities, features, ect. that matched their 616 counterparts. i was suggesting that accept people in high school. they all have seprate sessions with counselor charles xavier and he decides that they should meet and maybe could help each other. the brother hood would be people that would pick on them and magneto the leader. just like x men noir except in high school, they're not thugs, and don't do bad things.(except for the brotherhood.) that's what i'm talking about. how is it like x men evolution. seeing how i've never really described any storyline or what the characters would do, and you all just say it is "kiddy" and it would alienate fans.

but you all have your own opinions.

It's like X-Men Evolution because I'm sure your concept is akin to the pitch for that cartoon: "X-Men in a high-school setting." How is that not the same?

Now, sure, if you started describing entire plot and character arcs, then at that point I might say, "Oh, hey, that isn't like X-Men Evolution at all."

It still wouldn't make it a good idea, though.

it ain't the same because they would have persona's that portray their powers.

"I don't think that even makes sense."

well let me give you an example:

name: kurt wagner
nickname: nightcrawler
features: dresses in dark colors. sharp nails. likes to walk on all fours. has three fingers on each hand and three toes on each foot.

does that clear it up?

red eyes, has an eye patch to display "cyclops" in his appearence. his pupils could look like they pop out of his eyes, hence the glasses he would wear.

So is this going to be an X-Men comic like Twilight?

I mean, we could have a character who sparkles, too. DAZZLER.

OMG! I want in!

you know what, just drop the concept. it probably wouldn't do well. i just came across it one day thinking it would be an interesting mini series. here's some of the last thoughts i had before making the thread.

Warren Worthington III
Nickname: angel
Features: shoulder plates on back are large, giving him “wings”. Also a acrobat that performs gracefully.

Bobby drake
Nickname: iceman
Features: skin is white, can’t go in sunny areas. Always cold.

James howlett
Nickname: wolverine
Features: always has messy hair that looks like wolverines hair style from the x men movies. Strong bones. Fast.

Did you ever answer about the "why" of this situation? Why did you think of this? Why did you think it would be a good concept?
