Idlewild

i was surprised by the trailer. i was digging the music too but terrance howard is in it so you know he's going to kill someone or someone will die!

Yeah, filmed in my hometown....A lot of my friends are in it as extras. Def. seeing it. It was actually made like freaking 2 years ago.

I just saw the trailer and I might see it. Loved the music.

Wow.

Yeah, I'm a huge fan of Outkast, so I'm going to be on this like white on rice. :D:up:

I reluctantly saw this movie yesterday with a family member, and it sucked. This movie had a very weak plot, poor direction, very bad/unlikable characters (except Big Boi and Terrence Howard), was very slow, and very long. I found myself bored after the first 30 minutes
or after Ving Rhames and Bruce Bruce died.

Many scenes were very crappy and out of whack, including one scene where
Big Boi was being chased by Terrence Howard and his crew in 2 cars. It went from day to night of straight gun shooting, like they had 10000838641 bullets.
The movie also tried to be old 30's ghetto a bit too much. I didn't feel sorry at all for Andre's character, and really didn't like his character. His [relationship] wasn't really that good anyway, and it seemed a little rushed for what happened to be like 2 days.

Cutting to the point, do not see this movie. You'll be doing yourself a favor, and you'd truly have to be a 100% Outkast fan to enjoy it. :(

...but that's just me.

2/10

I've generally heard that it's pretty good. I might check it out.

Going tonight, just because I know they took a chance making this, and want to support them. People ***** about unoriginality in film, so here's something they created.

I've been trying to decide. I have some other movies on my list ahead of this one. These guys are super creative and I'd like to see what they pulled together.

I like Outkast's music, but not this movie.
Besides, Outkast hasn't been Outkast since Speakerboxxx/The Love Below and back.

How many musical numbers does this movie have?

H2$ had only 8 (versus the stage version's 20) so I want to know if the number do the film any good.

Idlewild had 9 or 10 musical numbers. (Two of them were
Outkast songs in real life
)

The real life songs are Rooster and Bowtie, right?
