IE Address History Won't Delete

I'm looking to sell my laptop and my IE explorer history on the address bar wont delete...ive went through internet options and what not...downloaded CCleaner and tried to erase it there...it wont delete and I want my laptop to seem new...is it a virus? or what?
well some of it deletes...but some of it doesnt...its so weird...
HELP!

what version of IE are you using on said laptop. I mostly use FF but i was able to delete all my IE history

in Internet Options:

check off the delete browsing history on exit

hit the Delete button, wait for it to finish.

go to the address bar and you should only see the URL for whatever your home page is set to .

but if you are selling a laptop to somebody, why not just re install the windows if it was a store bought laptop there should be a partition on the HD that contains the system recovery. run that and it should boot up into windows like it was used for the first time, but that is just a suggestion .
