IESB.com has 8 Clips from the Film

Sad? Hey, I just don't like Much comedy in Action/Sci-fi. Cuz IMO, it's not meant for those genres.

Do you see THAT much Comedy in Sci-Fi Greats like (Original) Star Wars (+Last one), Terminator, Aliens, Matrix, X-men, Batman?

Do you?

Pretty much, but each movie has its own sort of humour.

Let's just hope the type of humor in this movie is Good enough to impress the Movie critics like they were with Spidey movies AND the movies I just mentioned!

Y'know, it's kinda sad that people think any attempts at comedy make the film look stupid. Then again, some people are looking for anything to throw at this movie.

I like the funny bits, it's a summer action film, not some somber November drama.

Thank you! It just shows how damn stuck up people are these days, they cant take jokes no more. Dont ****ing worry you dip****s this is a Bay movie it will be 98% action so there wont be lack of that, just shut up and let us get a little bit of our own. Humor balances a film, it is needed. Sorry for being so direct but im sick of holding back some taughts (sp?) when i read some of the *****ing the haters keep on rolling at every piece of news...:cmad: :cmad: :cmad:

There's enough goddamn hate in the ****ing world, get over yourselves and use some

i loved the credit bit. it was hilarious.. sorry, i like my movies with comedy

I'm not saying anything about love, but it's getting pretty silly to say it looks like crap anymore.

Jesus! You Calm Down!!! You are acting like I always complain about this movie, or something

I have said I was NEVER a Negatron, I always have been positive before! It's just too much Comedy is NOT IMO a very good thing for serious movies!! That's the ONLY complaint I might ever have with this movie, period.

If you don't believe me, go look at what I posted...

Have I ever participated in the Negatron thread?

Besides, it has NOTHING to do with me being Stuck up!

I love Comedy as much as everyone else, but it has it Rightful place - which are Comedy movies, NOT so much in Action/Sci-fi/Thriller movies!

Hell I love SNL and even liked Norbit!(But if they put any of those dumb-funny moments in Terminator or Star Wars I would also have a problem with it)

I didn't quote you or was responding to you so don't worry. It was a general response to the arrogance of a certain poster, not hard to pinpoint. Besides i can react however i want, after having been neutral all this time in the constant fights between Naga and Opti i think i got that right. Think of this as a glass filling up with water until it starts overflowing, i think you get the picture. :yay:

I'm insulted that you stereotype all Anime as some sort of Pokémon-esque toy-selling fodder.

It's Hasbro and Gonzo's fault those shows were as problem-ridden as they were.

Then again, Transformers is all about selling toys too.

Heck no, I love anime. That's why I'm not put off in the least by a michael bay transformers movie. It'll be like thundercats on crack, it'll be like every anime movie with robots in it on crack... and no one but bay could pull that off, because that's his style, very in tune with the anime genre with its skewed camera angles and high focus on riduculously epic action... limited focus on character.

And Poke-formers is what i call the new anime transformers show because they're as pointless and crappy as the continuing adventures of ash. At least when transformers was made, it was done with some sense of depth and seriousness. But pokemon's now obviously nothing more than a toy commercial... sad waste of potential because that first season was pretty decent. Now back to transformers... :woot:

Alright, Buddy It sounded like you were talking about me.

Again
1) I DO like Comedy, so I am not a Stuck up! Just not much with Sci-Fi/Action/Thrillers. IMO, it's not a genre Comedy should mess too much with!
2) I have always been a Opti-, NOT nega!
3) I am VERY hyped up about this movie, in fact!
4) A little comedy here & there is FINE, but overflowing Comedy is NOT cool. I go see this movie for a Sci-Fi/Action/Thriller, not for Comedy.
5)I was only reacting to these clips so far
6) I haven't read the book, or script, so I don't know how Dramatic it will be Vs the Comedy. So...

7) I guess I WILL Reserve Final judgement until I see the movie in it's Entirity.

Reading about the added comedy from the human aspect is kinda getting me pissed. I don't like that.

A good example of my limit t omovie humor is in Independence Day, "Welcome To Earf." I remeber throwing my arms up and going "T.F.O.H." under my breath. Wrecked the movie for me.

You and i both! I hope hype won't kill it for me. I try to stay as much spoiler free as i can but kinda hard to do in this forum when spoilers pop up without warning. Reason why everyone visits this side of the board rather than the non-spoiler section is because of all the fast news and exclusives like pictures, wallpapers, trailers etc. So i wish everyone would thread more carefully with spoilers, specialy this close to release date. I got the BB movie spoiled on the premiere day... :csad:

Cheesy lines like that are lame, yes. Although i got a thick skin when i watch a movie and those little things dont spoil the movie for me. It just give me time to breathe a little, relax and realize this is a movie and it should be a fun experience. I guess that's why i like so many movies the fanboys dont like.

Same here.

That's a oneliner. A lazy way of injecting humor into movies, but will smith pulls it off with his charm.

I'd say what we're getting is on the level of back to the future, not the wacky **** in the two sequels, just the smart tounge in cheek, very well done jokes with Marty in pink underwear etc..

There's a difference between humor that FEELS natural and forced humor that is so obviously shoved down your throat that it takes you out of the mood of the scene. I especially felt this in SM3. Groaners like Ghost Rider, FF and others have this aplenty. Star Wars (the original trilogy) had a lot of humor but the actors really had a natural comedic timing so it didn't feel forced. Shia is a very funny actor who I feel can make the comedy work...others like Tyrese are going to make all his scenes amateur night...I'm sure.

My point being...I just hope that this movie's humor feels more natural than forced.

Awesome Clips! nice father's day gift if I was a father and all, Seems like theres nothing Bay wont blow up or flip into the air he almost blew up and killed Shia in a couple of those clips.... anyways Optimus prime is my friend too...

I am NOT going to watch any of these clips. I already feel like I've watched waay too much.

I'll deal with the comedy.....but it just seems so forced right there. Left cheek, left cheek, left cheek. Unrealistic if you have a however big METAL FUDGIN SCORPION attacking you outta nowhere. A full grown man's pants would be full of hershey's soup if placed in that situation, so it just seems tacky and added on. don't like it.

That and if we get another Man-Hug-Sob Situation like the end of X2 with Wolverine and Cyclops.......I may start drop kicking elderly down the aisles.

I'm pretty much done watching these clips. My problem is that I see these but I dunno what goes on before or after, so it kinda wrecks those parts of the movie for me. I overhyped by visualising a lot of thngs I saw from the 423534345 Spider-Man 3 clips, and ended up being really disappointed in the surrounding scenes and story.

I dunno, it actually seemed forced to me

Humor in like X-men, Batman, Terminator seemed perfectly natural to me, but this seem forced though, IMO.

However, I have not seen rest of the movie yet, so it's hard to judge from just these 8-10 clips.

Exactly! Wolverine giving the "middle finger" with his middle blade to Cyclops was funny. I chuckled. It was just funny and seemed like the natural thing to do.

I don't get that in most of Bay's movies. It feels like I am watching a movie starting Jim Carrey clones, a little too much excess.

I hope in the upcoming days, they will release some more clips that are MORE Dramatic than Funny, to Show me how Dramatic this movie is.

No! No more clips. That's it. That's enough. Save the rest for the theater, please...

I love the clips we've gotten over the past couple of days. But, seriously guys- I don't want to be able to put all these clips, spots, etc. together and have the film more or less!

So just save the rest for the theater. It's only a couple of weeks away.

Loved the clips,The skorponok scene is gonna be awesome and the more i see of both Shia and Duhamel's characters the more i like them.

The behind the scenes stuff was cool, loved the shot of Duhamel sliding along on the bike rig and the amazing bus explosion:wow:......i also liked the little scene with Duhamel and the kid with Bay directing him close in.

Shia looks like he has put some hard work into this movie:up:

Just see 1 or 2 more clips with some Serious Thrilling Drama, instead of that much of Comedy.
