I don't think everyone tapped to be a mod fits that mold. I think some of them let the "power" go to their head. Maybe in their own head they feel they are doing what's right, but sometimes they are biased, vindictive and petty.

I think of it more like a level of maturity... some people are mature enough about it at the beginning, and some need time to grow up before they take on that responsibility.

you have to have some kind of maturity level to do the job without having a biased opinion...
