If James Gunn wants to run DC similar to how Kevin Feige runs Marvel and has run Marvel for the better part of a decade and a half, then he has to do the following:

- Build your shared universe but do it in such a way that you are not trying to rush it. Look at how that turned out for the DCEU. Learn from that mistake and build the universe the right way by not rushing projects.

- Cast lesser known actors or B level actors similarly to how Marvel did when they first started out in 2008...then bigger names will want to join future DC projects

- Get big time directors for projects and also writers who know DC source material

- Mid credits and post credits scenes in your movies should build towards your shared universe but little teases here and there so it isn't seen as overkill; especially if you want to build towards a Justice League one day or if you want to have your universe as big as Marvel, then don't rush it

- Make the movies exciting and entertaining with story depth similar to how Marvel first did it back in 2008 and onwards

How about NOT copying Marvel. How about concentrating on making good movies and not shoe-horning garbage in just so you can attempt to create a shared universe?
Marvel worked for a decade because they did something that others hadn’t really attempted before them. And their entrepreneurial ideas were rewarded. But what was clever and groundbreaking yesterday is tired and mundane today. Now the novelty has worn off. Do something different.
And please, end credits scenes were fun when they first started, but now they are just a tired gimmick.

If the DCU tries to be Marvel 2.0, it will fail before it starts. Marvel can’t even succeed with its own formula anymore because audiences want something better.

The problem in a nutshell was WB waited, and waited, and waited while Marvel was busy building their universe slowly.

Then avengers happened. WB panicked and wanted that same kind of money.
So We got mos. It was OK but it didn't do as well as WB hoped, So instead of building things slowly, WB rushed and we got the WB version of Avengers

The approach seems reasonable and takes past mistakes into account. James Gunn should build the DC Universe with a focus on story-building and character development, taking his time with projects and using lesser-known actors to draw attention to future films. Hiring directors and writers who are familiar with the DC world will help maintain authenticity and attract audiences.
I agree
