If Mutants were real...

i just realized that even if i got in jail, i could get out in seconds by making the guards release me  YAY i want telepathy :(

I think there would be an all out war eventually... would be pretty stupid though because you could never kill all of them since a lot of male humans already carry the gene...

I think all the people saying 'I wish I were a mutant!' would think different if they WERE real, and not some cool theme in a comic book. The X-men movies portrayed the world's reaction to mutants fairly accurately, I think. Prejudice, families turning against each other, government oppression... powers are cool, but these things aren't.

That said, I wish I were a mutant! Though, knowing my luck, I'd have some lame power like the ability to change the color of my tongue. :(

it all depends on the power you have. 90% of the mutants would suffr prejudice and still have a lame power/change.

If i were a telepath, telekinetic, or a flying guy, i would love my mutationto the point of not giving a damn to humans or family rejecting me or whatever, but i have the same luck of yours. So i would rely on my family, who i love.

Hmm... well, your power could only entertain you so long before you wish you could fit in with the rest of society.

wouldnt being a telepath make me fit into society? *rubs hands and lifts eyebrow*
as for other powers, my family caring about me is enough, i dont need society acceepting me.

I already have had to put up with a lot of opression anyway, being gay and all. So it wouldn't really be much different, for me at least.

I dunno. Bobby Drake's family looked like a happy one before Bobby 'came out'. I know it's tough trying to relate to a movie, but mutants would be really feared and prejudged.

I think most people would be a little bad if they had superpowers because sure they can be a hero but it would get boring to fight people with no powers and they would want to have a little fun. A hero is only as interesting as their enemy.

True. I work in retail if I had some powers beleive me I would have been fired or incarcerated. People can really piss you off and I don't think I have the discipline that Xavier shown.
