who would you like to see Batman team up with for the first 12 issues? For those of you who don't know, the Brave and the Bold was DC's answer to Marvel's Marvel Team Up which featured Spider-Man teaming up with a different Marvel hero each issue.

Thay are bringign it back and its got Marl Waid writing and George Perez on pencils.

And Batman's teaming up with Green Lantern in the first story.

Tell me. Tell me. TELL ME. TELL ME someone didn't just use the word...

"brang"

?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Really? I didn't know that. Wasn't Kevin Smith rumored to have been writing it a few years ago?

Also, who else do you want to see in it?

Brave and the Bold actually premiered nearly two decades before Marvel Team-Up, fyi.

Personally, I'd rather if they didn't include Batman in every line up...

Green Lantern and Green Arrow
Superman and Wonder Woman
Batman and Huntress
Nightwing and Arsenal

Are just a few that spring to mind.

It's a shame. There's a lot of team-ups I'd love to see, but can't happen due to so many characters being killed off or changed by DC (Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, [BLACKOUT]Elongated Man[/BLACKOUT], [BLACKOUT]The Question[/BLACKOUT], etc).

See, it's not Spider-Kurt that's dumb...it's the people who actually know grammar! Ha! Brilliant maneuvering, SK!

Batman shold team with

Swamp Thing
Green Arrow
Dream & Delerium
Aquaman

I don't know, there have been plenty of Batman-Swamp Thing teamups, and they've never had much chemistry, because while Bruce Wayne allows for and combats the complexity of the causes of crime, Batman deals in absolutes when it comes to punishing criminals. See the Batman vs. Swamp Thing spat over Killer Croc awhile back.

Batman-Green Arrow seems a little overdone. That and Swamp Thing have actually been pretty well trod, for Batman teamups post-Crisis. And I think GA was maybe the most frequent Batman teamup in the old Brave and the Bold. I'll have to go back and look. Still, it can work. Poison Tomorrow was interesting, as was Brotherhood of the Fist. Even if it's overdone, you can't ignore the obvious chemistry of nonpowered heroes working together. That's why I wish Batman would team up with the Question more.

Dream and Delirium? Where does that story go?

Aquaman...I don't know. They're not always on great terms. There was a great Gotham Knights issue where Batman gets lonely and there's nothing going down in Gotham, so he asks Aquaman to come down from the satellite to help him retrieve his big penny, which fell into a chasm during the quake. Aquaman comes down and quickly realizes that the penny is unmovable. He recognizes that Bats was really just lonely, and his final lines are great. It's one of the only "buddy Batman comics" I've ever come across. Gotham Knights 18. That's the one.

Honestly, Batman teamups rarely work post-Crisis. He has so much contempt for the average hero, that he really can't work with them. This is coming, by the way, from a hardcore Batman fan. There was one issue where he and Superman switched bodies, and he told Superman afterward that he was terrified of becoming over-reliant on powers, and that he much preferred someone who worked and worked and worked to make themselves the pinnacle of ability, rather than someone who was handed powers and becomes reliant on them. Also see JLA: Superpower, in which Batman draws a clear line between Kyle Rayner and Mark Antaeus.

Shame they can't really do that now with Hal being like 40 years older than Bart. :o

[BLACKOUT]Elongated Man is dead? I knew he wasn't elongatable anymore but s he dead?[/BLACKOUT],

I said killed or changed. [blackout]Elongated Man is - seemingly - being changed into Dr. Fate.[/blackout]

Oh, I haven't been keeping up. Most recent arc I've read is is Under the Hood vol. 2

I would go with a hero that gives Batfans a different feel than they're used to with the other Bat titles. Along the lines of Deadman - The Spectre - Swampy

Yeah, those are some of the ones I'd be most curious about. Basicaly, the ones that aren't on the JLA or wouldn't be due to obvious reasons. The contrasts could make some great stories!

Ah. Yeah, this is all happening in 52.

Man, I hope they collect all that, because I'm going to die trying to find all of them now.

The only B&B stories I've read had Swmapy and Green Arrow and I really liked them, so that's why I said there should be more! I had a feeling GA was quite common in there....but so what? The stories will be a different standard and style these days no?

You're right Batman and Green Arrow just seem like a great combination. As non-powered heros with similar methods I could see them shunning assistance from others and *shock* actually being friends as well as partners. I'd wanna see them on stories outside of Gotham in exoctic locations.

Also if Batman doesn't really get on with Swampy and Aquaman then hell that's all the more reason to force them together imo. I suppose I'm saying that cos they're two of my favourite DC characters, but they would definetly work in stories that stretch Batman beyond his typical fare.

Dream and Delirium? Where does that story go?

Are you kidding me? This could be a goldmine and it would be trippyyyyy. One, in a dream realm Batman would be physically powerless - but then his strength comes from his mind no? Interesting take, he'd have to exert his mind more than ever before.

Two, what would Bruce be without the influence of Dream? I like to think that Bruce isn't just a mere mortal in Dreams eyes, he's a special one he keeps tabs on like Will Shakesphere or Hob Gadling. I'd like to see their interactions, their bargains. And then consider Delerium. Holy shiiiit, Arkham Asylum must be a playground for her. She's the bane in Batman life! There's alot of stuff to play with here.

Also I imagine when Batman meets Death he'd have a few harsh words for her. And she for him. I bet she could reduce Batman to a shivering wreck. As in 'you can never beat me darling'. I'd like to see Batman as a pawn in game between the Endless, with Dream as his ally and real repurcussions in Gotham.

hahhaha no....

Marvel team up was DCs answer to B&B....
