I'd make like "New Frontier" and START the movie the way "The Dark Knight Returns" ENDS: A fight to the death between the two of them...which concludes them killing each other. Once that's done, however, we find out the whole thing was a ruse, and the two of them are actually working together in secret, thus getting on with two hours of ribbing and generally annoying each other as they snuff out the villain of the piece.

Obviously they'd speed up their "friendship" but it'd be something like that.

I'm one of those people who thinks we should get a Worlds Finest before a Justice League film.

Not strictly adversaries, but definitely something like Batman reacting harshly to Superman 'getting in the way' of Batman's investigation. Something I see as easy to pull off with Batman coming into Metropolis.

I think a World's Finest would be awesome and probably easier to pull off with quality, than a JL film. Either way, I hope to see a proper good live action film with both in before I die.

Yes. I think they did it the right way. These guys aren't exactly "chums" afterwards either.
