If you owned a business, what would it be?

It's like Yahoo Answers up in here. Except without the dumb*****.

But, I would own a vintage movie theatre. Play classic movies 24/7, monster movies on Halloween, that would be awesome.

I would probably like to own a Vintage 18th Century style Pub. Meeting new people, smoking cigars, serving Guinness, talking politics. People playing chess in a corner. Others playing poker. People smoking old tobacco pipes in big leather chairs. Low classical music in the background.

I'd own an internet cafe.

I don't know why but I always wanted to.

So you could Hype it up in your spare time?

Eh, I wouldn't want to add to the lag with like 40 people on once or whatever.

They'd complain "What's SuperHero Hype! and how do I uninstall it?".

I would open my own dojo. Sometimes I teach the odd class here and there for my Hanshi and I like teaching. But then I see the crap he goes through sometimes running the business and I think to myself that it's too much of a hassle.

I thought pubs are banned from allowing smoking?

Professional paranormal investigation and elimination.

The franchise rights alone would make me rich beyond my wildest dreams :woot:

Not in the 18th Century!

I do own my own business.

BUT, if I could own some other business...hmmm. Lets just toss aside the obvious like owning a comic book company...

I'd like to someday open a store. Either a comic shp that truly catered to the general public, or some kind of shangri-la for women.

For a comic shop: I know a guy who makes props for movies, and he gets the mlds sometimes for stuff he didnt make to make copies of. Planet Hollywood pays him to mass produce some stuff and send it to their restaurants as actual props from films. Anyway, I'd have him put a Stormtrooper in the front window and deck the place out. I'd make it something where the general public would walk in and see stuff they liked. In other words, my back issues, superheroes and Magic The gatheric crap would be in the back, or in a side room. My main display focus would be on stuff like Star Wars, The Dark Tower, graphic novels that appeal to regular people (such as maybe having an end cap with CSI, The Shield, Sin City, A History Of Violence and Stray Bullets). I think it's very limiting when a store floods every inch of display space with superhero comics. Trust me, if you are a comic shop, the comic-loving customers will find you. No one is walking in and screaming "Hey, its a giant Superboy Prime poster! I bet this comic shop sells superhero stuff!" I would have a larger selection of childrens books as well. Archies, Peanuts, all the classics...mixed in with the newer indie stuff that's written for kids.

For the women thing...I know lots of porn stars. Not something I brag about. The point is, that industry is fun...you get invited to lots of killer parties etc. However, most porn stores are creepy, dirty and full of pervs. I'd like to have a huge building with several entrances. On one side is a hair salon with tanning beds, nails, massage...all of that and next to it is maybe some designer clothes, shoes...you know. You eventually get to lingerie and adult toys and stuff. You keep it very clean and professional, with ONLY stuff that appeals to women and couples. You have security there as well. That way, a woman can park, go into the hair salon, buy a toy, and leave through the same door without any "will my friends see my car parked here" type worries.
