Hmm, it would have to be something fun me thinks, not to get even more depressed. So my favorite film that can be considered more on the fun side? Probably The Big Lebowski; high rewatch value on that one too.

sigh... idk man...

the movies I consider my favorites all deal with society and love/companionship and things that I would not want to torture myself by watching over and over. (i.e. Almost Famous, Fight Club)

I'd have to choose a movie where someone is isolated/stranded/desperate and alone and in a worse situation than myself. Also one with a tiny shred of hope in them. The first ones that come to mind are 28 Days Later or 127 Hours. Danny Boyle movies seem to do the trick lol. Maybe Sunshine or Trainspotting for that matter.
