I bought an Insignia HDTV (30") from Best Buy, and it isn't too bad. The picture quality is great, and it was a steal at only $300 on Black Friday!

I saw that there. It looked pretty good for its price which is about 500 bucks I believe.

It's a quality TV... even though I wish there was an HDMI input/output :(

Than its not HD!!! :down I was thinking of just waiting until Black friday since its pretty much around the corner but I dont feel like Staying up the whole night waiting in line at Best Buy just to save a couple of bucks. I'd rather have my 8 hour beauty sleep!

BTW should I get a 4 year warranty on my LCD/HD, or Just a 2 year?

Well, HDTVs are getting cheaper by the day, so you may find a better/newer/more efficient one in 2 years or so.

Go for 2 year.

Well After giving it some thought and Seeing it first hand, the Samsung 32' LCD/HD is way to go

Well of course they look bad, we are talking about an electronics store with horrible lighting that takes a tv out of the box and puts it on a shelf and plugs it in. They don't do any kind of tweaking to their sets. They put the contrast on 100% thinking that will get people talking about how bright the picture is. It's impossible to really gauge how a TV will look until a person tweaks it and sets it up right.

Nope. They're grainy. Tweaking won't fix that. And beside, how do you account for the plasmas having amazing picture?

Whats with tvs and hifis being silver these days? Silver f**king sucks. Entertainment equipment should be BLACK!

Plasma's have amazing picture? I don't know, but whenever I see one on display I always notice it's grainy as well and there's just something about it that doesn't seem right. I have seen some that were pretty nice but they were far and few between. Even after trying to tone down contrast and brightness many still had something odd about the picture that I can't quite place. Many people would be satisfied with them though but for me I'm very, very picky about picture quality and I usually notice if something is off right away. Every technology has its up's and down's though.

Yeah, it's all about looking "sleek." For me it just distracts and some of that silver finish can reflect light which doesn't help when trying to focus on the picture. I think electronics companys have forgotten about picture quality and try to just make the unit look cool.
