Yes, it sucks that millions of them were killed, but the germans had and still do have the right to eliminate any portion of their population that they do not want. My only criticism of what the Nazis did is that they did not give the jews a choice between leaving and staying.

You either are the most facetious jackass slithering around the Hype or a total f**kwit. Or perhaps both.Outsiderzedge said:I'm a little tired of jews milking sympathy with the holocaust. November Rain said:devil's advocate, i think when edge says eliminate, i don't think he means terminate.
i.e. a country has the right to do what it wishes with what it feels are immigrants and it's schemes on immigration of a certain sector....
I think the United Kindom are getting much stricter with its immigration laws with Bulgaria set on joining the EU next year along with some other countries, maybe this is a kinda parallel that edge is maybe trying to make.
i don't think the mass murdering of millions was ever meant to be seen as justified.
although i could have just taken his post differently...
November Rain said:but that is essentially what the immigration is going to be saying 'you can't come in because you are part of this and we are worried about job security in these sectors you are most likely going to be ending up in. Although their terminology will be less 'obvious'
keeping people out is only one step away from chucking people out that are already in.
THe only thing is that in your middle eastern analogy, unless they have any ties to the US, i don't see any reason why such a scenario could not be carried out. I mean you don't allow people to stay unless they have a green card and they are providing something towards the economy.
to take away the green card status from everyone and chuck all foreign non-american rooted people out of the united states i believe is still within the power of the state if they so desired to. isn't is?
it may not be fair or pc but isn't it still within the rights of the state?

November Rain said:well non christians are allowed in but if they perform any laws that has descended from christianity, then they are charged for it.
like you can get arrested for polygamy in the uk because it's against the law (i think) to have more than one wife even though other religions accept it.
also in Islamic countries where Shariah (sp?) law is still used, one can get trialed for breaking muslim laws even though they don't count for them (driking, eating pork etc...)
i know it's not the same thing but wouldnt one consider being controlled by laws of a state which descend from another religion some kinda unfairness?

should, but aren'tThe Joker said:That's also wrong. Laws should be based on morals that are universally agreed on, not religious documents.
