I'm surprised there is no Spectacular Spidey videogame

It would be sweet if there was a game but likely not going to happen since marvel has the movie games, ultimate spidey game, and other non tiein games out all the time.

If the show lasts long enough... then I hope we will see a game of some sorts.

In saying that... The Batman was very popular (not among the fanbase obviously), lasted five seasons with a movie and never got a game.

don't you think there's already enough, there's like a million different ones... I was in FYE the other day and didn't even know which one was the most recent, there was like 8 different Spidey games on the shelf... not that I don't like Spidey, but jeeze

Actually they did have a bunch of BTAS based games.

They even had one with exclusive animated portions (same Cast & style) instead of cinematics.

I own one for XBox: the Rise of Sin Tzo.


If they did make a game hopefully theyd be able to duplicate the cartoon's style/awesome storylines and get the cast back! Oh, and not have the games suck like the batman ones

As much as I'd love to see one. I doubt we'll get one for a while. It's going to be several seasons in before they even consider it. They already have new Spidey games coming out, and I can't help but think that this game could somewhat resemble Ulitmate Spider-The Game. Or it could turn out to be really kid-friendly like the unfavored Spider-Man: Friend or Foe.

So, as much as I love the show, I don't see a game being in our favor.

I remember when they first came out w/the PS1 game, for some reason I expected it to be based off TAS.

Didn't Jennifer Hale voice Black Cat? All the villains in the game had appearances in the show. I'd say there was some attempt to bridge the two mediums, albeit loosely.

A Spectacular Spider-Man game would be awesome. If Ultimate Spider-Man can get its own video game, then I see more of a chance of it happening for the show. I'm sure it's much more marketable as well.

It is better if they don't make it, the end product isn't usually satisfying. I remember the last Spider-Man Animated game, just terrible. It's better if they work from the source material, comics, and make a game around that. I think the game developers should be free to work within their own boundaries than to try and make a game within someone else's. Or if there is to be one on Spectacular, make it on DS or PSP.

not counting Spider-man for the PS and 64, USM was my favorite spidey game, if it of had some kind of online verus mode I would be playing it even to this day.

I think it's too early for a game. They should establish more seasons of the show before throwing a game together. Still, the idea would be cool for the future.

But then again, Batman doesn't have too many games to begin with. Knowing how Activision loves to crap out Spidey games every year, we'll see this on store shelves eventually, I guarantee you.

The developers really need to get their heads out of their asses and start making quality games again, for starters. USM was the last good one (best of the bunch, IMO) and that was like, what? 3-4 years ago? SM3, Friend/Foe, and Web of Shadows we're average at best and garbage at worst...

They stop releasing the SM2 game with a facelift over and over again and then I'll be interested.
