where there were no spoiler sites - no preview art - no 3-month previews =
where you literally had to just wait until the issues themselves hit the shelves to find out what was going on that month.

I'm sure there must've been a time like that, before this crazy inter-web thingy came about?!

Used to be, all you'd get to hear about the next month's issue of, say, ASM, is a tiny box in the back on the letters page that said something like "NEXT ISSUE: Doc Ock's Revenge!" - and that's all!

Don't get me wrong, I like reading spoilers and taking a look at preview pages and seeing some gorgeous art now and again, and theorising with everyone here, and the sense of community we get round here.. sometimes.. but I can't help imagine what it'd be like if we were only given like 5% of the information we get now.

ahhhhh the good old days....where the only names on the covers were the characters names....when covers actually had something to do with the inside book....when heroes fought villians

yes indeed i don't mind poster style covers that much but at least let the poster-cover depict whats in the story:ninja:

...when people actually became the writer or artist on a book and got it out on time........

When incessant fanboy day dreaming about the good ol' days of comics werent bashed over our heads with on comic book forums.

Your avatar never ceases to amaze me.

Remember when women and people of a particular color couldn't vote? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
