Avengers: Age of Ultron. The Avengers have been captured with no way out. A new small group, known as "America's Team" is sent in. Thie group consists of Blonski, and War machine. We know Blonski is deep down a decent guy and patriot who just got a bit power hungry. I wouldn't force this within this movie, but somehow have Blonski and War Machine have a meeting with Nick Fury as a secret weapon team just in case. I can see it now, AC DC song "War Machine" comes blasting over the Theatre sound system, Abomination is dropped out of a cargo plane and lands right on top of Ultron, War Machine unloads with mini guns. The rest of the team is freed. Abomination will wind up getting burned to a crisp but what a way to go out!

I don't know about having it for Age of Ultron, but down the line in Avengers 3, I'd love to have some kind of scenario where Thanos has zapped The Avengers off-planet or whatever, and on Earth, a substitute team made up of Iron Patriot, Falcon, Winter Soldier (if he survives the current film ;) ), Loki and, hell, Abomination too if you want, are scrambled together to defend Earth from some onslaught.

That's the beauty of having all these characters, you can kill them off and keep making more. Abomination is a character that I felt bad for. Blonski was a great soldier and hulk boots him in the chest. I would want to get that mofo back too for that cheap shot. After Abomination helps out the Avengers (if he survives), have him say to Banner "we will finish this later", setting up Hulk 2 and Red Hulk

I don't know if going on a full fledged rampage in Harlem, using family occupied cars as hammers against the military is 'just a bit power hungry', but I have toyed with the idea of Blonsky having a guilt trip and having something of a redemptive arc.

If we ever get a live action Thunderbolts, I think he'd be a great candidate, along with Winter Soldier.

Loki would be too busy in Asgard, as self appointed 'new Odin'. Plus he has no real love for Earth. If he's even capable of calling any place home, it'd be Asgard. So when Thanos starts wrecking the universe, I think Loki would be more preoccupied with defending his throne than to worry about Earth in any capacity.
