in the movie "you don't mess with the ZOHAN" is the main character a deserter from the isreli army? when i read the synopsis and saw he'd faked his death i wondered about that did he legally leave the army amd emigrate to the us or would the feds consider him an international fugitive?

I would not recommend this film to anyone. I usually love Adam Sandler films, but I saw this at midnight, and I left half-way through. Egh.

to respond to rando aces the reason i asked is that i was worried about discussing this movie with my brother-in-law who's an air force veteran, to him a comedy about a"hero"that deserts his armed forces may be in bad taste post 9/11
