After reading Frank Darabont comments about his script that Lucas rejected (which everyone else loved) and Lucas recent comments, this movie is NOT going to happen and all indications are that Lucas doesn't want it to happen.

I agree. He should leave the Indy franchise alone and let Spielberg and Ford work on it.

and i'll agree that he probably won't ever let it happen w/o his involvement. Really i think it's pretty sad cause i would love another indy movie...even if it sucks it still couldn't ruin the other 3.

Yeah, but the rumor was that Darabont's script was brilliant! Everyone of the production loved it...except Lucas.

Well, I say let it rest. INDIANA JONES IV doesn't need to happen and it shouldn't happen. Let the trilogy rest - LAST CRUSADE felt like enough of an ending note that we don't need a final entry with a geriatric Ford going through the motions.

...we've been getting this 'any day now' approach for the last ten years.

I don't see why we need an Indy 4 - they ended the trilogy perfectly, plus it's not like the previous sequels were that much lesser than the first one.
