Any new news on Indiana Jones 5?? I'm really hoping for a decent script to pop up sometime soon...

I think the chances of Spielberg returning again are pretty much slim to none after the universal acceptance that greeted part IV.

I think I might be one of the few fools who would actually want a fifth.....I like IV for some reasons but another movie with a better macguffin (who said the Atlantis ???) .....I'd take it, no matter if Ford is old or Shia returns !

There's no way they won't make fifth movie, considering the fact that Kingdom of Crystal Skull made 317 millions.
i remember reading an article about George Lucas talking about something related to Genghis Khan for an idea for fifth movie.

I don't think it will happen, as much as I want to. But please for the love of God, don't search for Atlantis. It was already done.

in a video game yeah but I always wanted to see it on screen.......but and asiatic thing related would be nice !

I thought 4 was good enough that I'll accept another one. Just make it happen already.

I'm really hoping for a 5th. There where a lot of disappointments w/ the IV but I still thought it was a worthy and pretty great film. I NEED a V one! :indy:

It won't happen now that IV got slammed by critics, wasn't in the top 2 for the 2008 at the box office and got shut out for the first time of any Oscars for that year.

The response to Indy IV was bad and Speilberg only did it because he thought people would love to have another one. I personally enjoyed it, but Speilberg won't make another movie just for people who gave him a cold reception the last time. Lucas and Ford I'm sure are fine with doing another one, but Steve ain't getting anywhere near it.

I'd like another one. Seeing Crystal Skull on father's day with my much pleased Indy loving father is one of the best theater experiences I've had. Wouldn't mind doing that again.

Do we really need another Indiana Jones movie? that's what The Mummy movies are for.

I'd like a 5th film, mainly so they can redeem themselves from the 4th. But it won't happen.

Plus, Spielberg and Lucas have hinted pretty heavily that Spielberg's heart wasn't particularly in part IV. It was more or less a writer's strike film which was also an attempt to quiet the fan's demands for a fourth installment. Looking at the film, and seeing the laziness and half-assed technical effort on-screen, it seems pretty darn obvious that the Beard's mind is elsewhere these days.

I say no to this.

I say yes to Spielberg getting it together for Lincoln with Liam Neeson and that Interstellar movie.

I loved IV, so i wouldnt mind another one.

DaCrowe: Indy 4 ranked 3rd for the year in North America (only about 1 million dollars behind Iron Man), and ranked 2nd worldwide. I would say that's pretty successfull, and i doubt they have to worry about box office with Indy if they go for another one.

Indy 4 wouldnt have been made if one of the three main players (Harrison, Steven and Lucas) had said no to it. So i think the old 'Steven did it against his will' line gets kinda old. :hehe:

But didn't Steven say "no" a lot? Like, wasn't he one of the people that held it up for so long? Or was it Ford?

They need to make another, and they need to make it awesome to make up for the crapfest that was Indy IV.

Let the corpse rot in peace. We need no necrophilia here.

Universal? Really? No.

Anyway, 4 was just on the right side of good, 5 might not be.

I guess the opinion of the majority was that it was good. I dunno how I feel about the movie. There are a lot of things I like, and a few things I don't. The cinematography was the biggest. It looked so overexposed and washed out, it didn't really feel like Indy.

As for a fifth, I don't really care either way. Kingdom did a good enough job of fufulling my desire for another installment that I don't really have a personal need for another.
