My family have taken to going on little trips during the winter to indoor water parks (they are usually attache to hotels).

We've been to one in Branson MO and in Indianapolis, are there any good ones where you live?

Yes, over in Sandusky. A friend of mine was there with his family

Great Wolf in Sandusky has that Wizard Quest game plus the waterpark and Kalahari is awesome to go to in the summertime!

One day i hope to get to the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum in Oregon which has a water slide built into an airplane on the buildings roof:

I prefer outdoor waterparks to indoor ones. That way you get the sun and warm weather. I guess if you're going at this time of year it would have to be indoors.

True, the outdoor ones are better. However, after the stress of the holidays, the last couple of years we got the idea to relax at an indoor water park. It's kind of fun to be floating on a Lazy River as it is freezing outside. The kids love it too.

That looks pretty cool. We were in Minnesota a couple of years ago and I remember seeing a slide coming out of a building like that, can't remember exactly where though. It also did not have the airplane...:cwink:

massanutten ski lodge in northern va has an indoor water park too

Lazy River is ok but gets kind of boring. I prefer the rides like the scorpion's tail (I think it's called that) or the hurricane (not sure of that name either). Unfortunately you have to queue for too long for some of these - sometimes nearly an hour.

I think I've been to the one in Branson. I have been to one that was attached to a hotel there for sure. We've stayed there twice. But I don't know if Branson has more than one.

Isn't the world's tallest water slide really dangerous looking? It's several hundred feet up and looks like you could slide right off the edge at speed.

The community center near me has a pretty cool waterpark. Lived here forever, and never knew there was one so close until my son took swim lessons last fall. I would like to visit Great Wolf, the nearest one is in Williamsburg, VA.

In West Edmonton Mall in Edmonton, Alberta, there's a fantastic indoor water park. Tall enough even for bungee jumping over the wave pool.

When you reach my age, the lazy river is just fine. :cwink: Those enclosed slides hurt my back (<- Dang that sounded old)

I don't remember the name of it right now, but the one we stayed at had a giant banjo in front. Yes, you read that right, a giant banjo...

What area do you live?

I checked into the Great Wolf in Kansas City a few years ago and remember it being super expensive. Perhaps I'll check again sometime...

Wow! That sounds awesome! That must be huge! Canada you say? I may have to start thinking about getting a new passport.

:shr: Wait a minute, does one need a passport to go to Canada?

Not the same one then. But I actually believe I know which one you stayed at.

I live in Maryland, close to DC. Groupon has some good deals for Great Wolf.

In door skiing is also something I'd like to try. I hear it is very expensive to up keep.

Dubai has one of the biggest. China also has a huge indoor water park.

Yeah. I posed the video when I edited my post. There is only that one in Dubai I am aware of.

that's about an hour north of me. depending on where you live, massanutten probably isn't too far from you

One exists in Bahrain City Center, I went there once, it was fun.
Some of the rides are probably not safe for people with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

Looks like it's about 3 hours. I'll compare the two, but I really liked the cute rooms at Great Wolf

None near me but we have a fairly huge outdoor park just outside the city. It has a wave pool. :D
