Huh, I don't know what to think of this

I wanted Infinity Ward to take another shot at WW2, but then again, it looks like MoH: Airborne and BiA: HH are both going to be good, so perhaps this is for the best?

"A reliable source close to the Call of Duty development teams has revealed not only the existence of Call of Duty 4, but vital details surrounding the game as well, including the fact that it will be based on modern combat.

According to our source, Call of Duty 4 will be developed by Infinity Ward, the developer behind the first and second installments. The three-way deal established between Infinity Ward, Treyarch, and Activision states that Infinity Ward will develop all even numbered titles while Treyarch develops the odd numbered games, such as Call of Duty 3. Treyarch did develop Call of Duty 2: Big Red One as well, however.

As aforementioned, Call of Duty 4 is said to step away from the war torn locales of World War II, instead focusing on the battlefields of present day. It is unknown if it will take the same path as Electronic Arts’ Battlefield franchise, placing the spotlight on the Middle East.

The source compared Call of Duty 4’s technical achievements to other games saying that while most shooters have two or three critical points on the head, Call of Duty 4 has 16, saying that you can shoot the side of an opponent’s helmet to make it spin on their head, or knock the helmet clean off. Supposedly you will even be able to shoot an enemy’s ear off.

Although Call of Duty’s single player has always been a mainstay of the franchise, the multiplayer is certainly something to write home about. Our source has said that there have been multiplayer bouts with 54 players. PC gamers will be happy to know that they will be able to join the action once again, as Infinity Ward is supposed to be bringing Call of Duty 4 to the PC as well as consoles. Call of Duty 3 is only available on consoles and eventually the PSP.

Activision press representatives were unavailable to confirm or deny these reports; however, Amped IGO will continue attempts to gain verification."

I will give them to you as gifts.
You can't return them or get rid of them.
And you'll have to play them.

I'm incredibly rude and inconsiderate and generally mean spirited, so I have no problem throwing unwanted gifts away, even if it's right in front of the person who gave them to me

I have no guilt about anything, no matter how horrible. WWII shooters are a no go.

WWII shooters need to be put to rest. I mean geez, find a new demographic to shoot.

It's always frickin Normandy and then ruined towns. Same damn levels year after year.

I'm pretty sure Jack Thompson wants one too.

It could go through all the ages!

I think the Japanese have a game about text messaging. At least it's not as weird as the one where you rape the plastic butt in the arcade.

The Japanese have a game to replace every basic social interaction. They're a very pathetically shy people. If you can't freaking text someone, you're an assh**e and deserve to be alone.

But yeah, the ******* arcade game took it too far.

I'd love to meet the person who has the balls to play that in public.
It would be funny if someone whipped it out to play that game.

I want a revolutionary war shooter.

The problem is, it took an incredibly long time to reload one bullet into your gun back then. So...yea.

Vietnam hasn't been done properly yet (In other words, there is no equiviliant to Call of Duty or Medal of Honor with Vietnam. Just a couple of mediocre FPS'). The Middle East could be fun, I guess...but its not really a traditional war. I mean, you don't have enemy combatants shooting at you, you have children running towards you with bombs strapped onto them. A modern warfare FPS will either be too PC to be realistic or too realistic to be fun (I mean, imagine getting hit by a mortar out of no where or having a car full of bombs driven into you. It would get redundant.)

If you want to go to new grounds, try Vietnam or World War I even.

Yeah, I know that, it was actually a joke, kinda like the genocide sim

Oh.

Finally, someone's getting tired of WW2 shooters and it's a good thing it's Infinity Ward. I'll be keeping my eye on this one.
