CM doesn't have a director yet and doesn't come out until March 8, 2019. Expect it to start filming early 2018.

I wonder if there will be a single significant new cast member in this movie. An actor of some stature, who has never appeared in a MCU movie. Not including Brie Larson if she first appears in this movie before her own.

I can't imagine any new protagonists outside of Captain Marvel, unless they're counting Spiderman, Ant-Man, and Doctor Strange as "new" since they haven't appeared in an Avengers story before.

Strange probably teams up with Thor once Thanos shows up, having already worked with him in Thor Ragnarok.

I now think it's more likely Wanda masters her powers entirely by herself (during battles for narrative efficiency) after Strange makes some helpful progress but fails to understand them, because they are connected to emotions. I also just don't see how they can credibly fit something as slow as Strange training her into such a packed movie.

We might see him interact with Agamoto briefly, and no doubt exchange quippery with Tony, as they both dismiss each other.

We do know he likely mainly interacts with Tony, Thor, Wanda, and Vision, from Cumberbatch himself.

Given IW will likely have a heavy cosmic focus, Spiderman, a street level hero at present, would not make sense being prominent. In A4 he will have much more reason to be prominent.

In other news, it seems that Spider-Man will return in the fourth "Avengers" film as the web-slinger was not included into the character list of "Avengers: Infinite War".

However, Holland told The Hollywood Reporter*that Spider-Man will be "the kid" in the MCU as he is dragged into the conflict that normally a child will be amazed by it, and seeing the likes of Thanos (Josh Brolin) may prove "too much" for Peter Parker to process, who is still grappling with great power and great responsibility.

Despite all of that, there is still a chance that Spider-Man will join Earth's Mightiest Heroes in "Avengers 4" as Thanos might bring the fight to earth.
