Injustice - Gods Among Us

I'll be amazed if anyone here doesn't know of the Injustice Series; it's a console game series by Netherrealm which essentially focuses on a Batman vs Superman theme (though there are other villains throughout the stories).

As unlikely as it would be, does anyone think such a story could/would make a good transition to the big screen as (maybe) a trilogy or something? There's a significant number of characters in the games thus far (there's only been two of them) and it wouldn't need to play in consistency with the established DCEU.

Maybe in a few decades. Turning half the roster into outright villains wouldn't play very well in the current climate.

I don't play the game but I have the trades and think IGAU is one of the best things to come out of DC in years. Having said that, if they did decide to go down that sort of route I'd sooner have a Kingdom Come adaptation, maybe over two movies.

IF there was ever any traction on this, my god, the costumes would have to be altered, in the game, they are god awful.

I've not played them but am aware of the designs and to a man (and woman) they are terrible, in particular, Superman's iteration and design.

As a story, no thanks, they all kind of horrible. Not for me.

Just please, don't use the New 52 designs. It's bad enough they're already using that to screw up Death of Superman

I'd need for them to completely overhaul WW for this though. Her always falling in line with Superman because she's in love with him is played out.

The Injustice trades were great page turners, but there were too many aspects that I just wanted to get out of my mind. I couldn’t stand seeing Superman go evil and Barry and Hal were just infuriating with their actions.
