Generally, people discuss possible scenarios for TDK in terms of a Nolan-directed trilogy. However, Bale and Nolan have stated that they will continue to make Batman until they have no reason to.
So I am starting this thread with the idea that Batman will be a never-ending franchise. So instead of debating:
Bat-boarder 1: Well if AMH is Nygma in TDK there will be too many villians.
Bat-boarder 2: No, because he will probably be like Dent/Two-face and he won't be The Riddler until 3 (The Caped Crusader).
Oh and a side note, I doubt three will be called the Caped Crusader.
But anyway, Let's use this thread to discuss the Batman franchise as if they are building the ultimate Batman mythology. How will the existing villains and characters fit into this series and when will they be introduced? Will their purpose be re-envisioned as with Ra's Al Ghul training Batman? Or will they be used as they were in the comics? How will outlandish villains be integrated into the "realistic" vision Nolan has for the series? Who would you like to see play these characters? No subject is off limits, but the only rule is that there is no limit to the number of films in the series.
If people think this is a dumb idea for a thread then I'm sure it will be quickly buried among the other ill-received threads. But i think this is a cool way to discuss the franchise as we get new TDK news and when we get bored waiting for news. (I know i don't have many posts at all but I've been reading the boards forever. I never have anything different to say than anyone else, hence the lack of posts.)
