It's the new math, son.

jag

Awwww...I sucked at the old math...now life is pointless :(

btw, I'm not stupid enough to confirm or deny whether or not I currently use file sharing programs, although I will say I have used one in the past, on someone else's computer.

I do it all the time, there's no reason to pay for this stuff when you can get it for free. Oh and Evolutionist, relax, interpol isn't going to burst through your door because you pirated a couple of albums. The critics of downloading lied to you.

That post wasn't even aimed at you.

Whoever said anything about the cops? Oh wati, you did, I didn't. While you won't be arrested for it, you could be sued over it if you put it up. Or the company who owns the music could be sued by the artist.

Find me one instance where someone hasn't been sued.

Would you steal a candy bar from a store? How about a DVD? Probably not, I hope.

But if your friend came to your house and offered you a free candy bar they had, I'm sure you wouldn't say, "No. I think I'd rather go to the store and pay for it." Downloading music is the same. If someone who has already paid for the music offers it to you, why not take it?

It may be illegal, but so is burning copies of cds for your friends.

Technically you're not even supposed to rip your CD's to your iPod. I don't see anyone bashing people because of that.

Well, if you own a copy it's not that big of a deal. Or the friend thing. I made a copy of a CD for a friend before. It's the people who put it up for EVERYONE to take and the people who download said content that could poteintaly get in trouble.

I won't deny that I've downloaded music before. Who hasn't? I just try not to do it.

Speaking of downloading, I read on Wiki that the RIAA sued a "dead" grandmother. They must had been despreate for money:p
