Superboy-Prime

who wins in a knock down drag out fight no limit to what they can do or use with in their powers.

Invincible, as of his last handbook, has 70 ton strength, super-speed, and durability. However, at least as about 12 issues though, he was little match for a seasoned Viltrumite warrior alone, and they're argueably comparable to Kryptonians.

Superboy-Prime is strong enough to punch holes through time and space.

I like Invincible more, although in a solo fight, SB would probably defeat Invincible, although Mark would probably be able to occupy him long enough for the Global Guardians to mount some kind of counterattack.

no offense to HR-PUFF&STUFF, but i really hate these VS/ who will win threads

yeah, they're pretty overdone. But this one's easy to figure out to those who know the characters. Invincible is strong, Superboy Prime is so strong his PUNCHES AFFECT REALITY. No contest.

Although, of course, Invincible is the better character.

It's really not as simple as Superboy just throwing out reality punches. He can't just stand there, punch out and hit reality. He happened to be in front of a wall of reality, so he punched it. I'm sure Invincible could have done the same thing if he were in the same situation.

he's got a 70-Ton range

and we DO know SBP can

he can "push" a planet and well not all planets are the same (Look at pluto). also pushing and hitting are not the same thing if they were he would have killed both supermen. Invincible has been shown to take a lot and come back i think when you take pushing a planet out of the equation they would be evenly matched.

HE CAN "PUSH" PLANETS THOUSANDS OF LIGHT YEARS SO HE CAN REARRANGE THE COSMOS! That sounds like "moving" And, oh yeah, let's get specific with the vast intersteller distances here: given the size of the universe, and the minimum number of planets SPB moved, and the minimum distance, he would have had to have traveled some, oh, I dunno, 50,000 light years in order to do all that shifting.

This isn't even in question. We haven't seen Viltrumites, let alone Mark, do ANYTHING on this scale. And while absence of evidence is not evidence of absence, you're clearly biased here. There's no basis for this whatsoever. So Invincible is strong and he can fly. So is Nova. So is Gladiator. So is Superman. So is Rogue. So are a million other characters. And I would bet on SPB against any of them and I don't even like him.

we don't know that.
We also "don't know" that Superboy won't spontaneously sprout Omega Power Heat-seaking Missiles of Ultimate Doom from his buttocks if he drinks lemonade on a Thursday; that, however doesn't mean that he will. "We don't know if this person can do these things, so maybe they can" is a really...well, "it makes no sense" doesn't even begin to describe that kind of argument.

Actually, never mind...it does. "It makes no sense" is the exact way to describe that kind of argument.

Can Invincible push Pluto, then?

Both Supermen are in the exact same power range as Superboy-Prime. They can move planets too. Of course they're going to withstand his punches to a degree.

And that's not even to a very large degree. He did kill Superman-2, remember?

Wait, where am I? Why am I even here? Damn Buffy thread.

Although, of course, Invincible is the better character.

No contest in that degree.

I mean, Mark only gets emotional when it really counts. ;)

And I will say, his ability to improve his superhero tactics with experience in under 40 issues, sometimes dramatically, really puts Ultimate Spider-Man to shame (100+ issues, still a feeb).

There's not much that doesn't put Ultimate Spider-Man to shame in one respect or another.

Word Peck, word

Yeah I don't like Superboy prime anywhere nearly as much as I like Mark. But I do know that Mark would get his ass handed to him. I mean Superboy prime is so ridiculously strong and fast that it's not even funny.

Not even using reality hole punching as a feat of his ridiculous strength. Don't forget he also broke through what was it? 300 GL Corps combined wall encasing generated from their power rings. That alone in itself is ridiculous.

Mark might be able to handle his own for a little bit, but I seriously doubt it. His father (Omni-Man) has a far better shot and even he doesn't stand a very good one. Physically there are very, very few super heroes or villains in any comic book universe short of cosmic beings (and even some of them would get stomped) that could match up to Superboy prime.
