I really wanted to see a billy goat. Thats what really hurts about this

This guy is afraid to get shark-eaten, but is willing to climb K2? Sure it's a tad shorter than Everest, but still just as deadly! What is it, 1 out of 4 that try to climb it die? Shoot, I'll take those odds. Braincrusher is a man's man.

Dammit! :csad:

Better luck next time.

K2 is A LOT more deadly than Everest.

Pffft ONLY FOR ZE VEEK!! ARE YOU WUN OF ZE VEEK OR ARE YOU A MANLY MAN?

"lol braincrusher can't come! We're the guys he works with and we're having a really good time climbing this frozen mountain with our sandwiches and iPods. Look a billy goat! Extreme!!!1"

3 Billy Goats Gruff is based on a true story. I saw it in a documentary called Trollhunter.

that's what is kind of bothering me as well. He couldn't look and see the bulbous gut hanging over my belt? He couldn't see the bottles of cola I drink or the twix and twizzlers I pound down throughout the day? I've got a good mind to sucker punch this man
It doesn't matter what he initially thought. YOU'RE the one who knows your fitness level, so you should have known right from the start that you were unhealthy enough to do it. Accountability. Learn it.

That being said, I think this whole thing is a farce. Entertaining, sure, but fantasy nonetheless. Can I meat your dealer, lol?

Hey, if K2 isn't right for you, go ahead and try Annapurna. It's only the 10th highest mountain in the world, so it should be easy and great for training.

Of course it is. I just felt like acknowledging the balance between partaking in the ridiculousness and addressing reality. *shrugs*

You are like the kid who points out to all the kids there is no such thing as Santa Claus!:o:csad::cwink:

If this thread were a movie... I'd want to the sequel in 3D.

I used to climb trees as a child. How comparable is this mountain to like a large pine tree?

Imagine if this pine tree had bark made of ice, and had pine needles that were so large they could kill you if they fell. Also, this pine tree would be on top of a mountain (say, K2 :oldrazz: ) where snowstorms with 200mph winds that can last for days. :awesome:

Also, you can't run out of food or gas on this tree, because you'll either die of starvation or dehydration if you can't melt the icy pine needles for water. :o It's a bit difficult when you're stuck on the tree for a week because of a dangnabit snowstorm.

Guy i work with claims I can tag along on his big climb up K2. Says he has all the gear I would need. I was told to just bring my IPOD and some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Problem is I have very little experience as a climber. I can tie some basic knots and can drive my spiked boots into the mountain but I can't always pull myself up. I have 2 weeks to train, should I go ahead with this?
Yes.

Don't want to take my word for it? Listen to Megatron:
