Me likes the green. My wife's parents are both from Ireland and so between that and my great-grandmother my kids are both blessed with the Blarney and the temper!

We are propably going over again next summer. My son has been there more often than me!

:D I may be a redhead and I may have a hot temper to match, but I haven't got any Irish in my bloodline that I'm aware of... :o That doesn't stop me from wearing green on St. Patrick's Day though. But I prefer German or Canadian beer. :yay:

Have you tried Smithwicks or Harp?
Mmmmm that's good drinkin.

Where in Ireland are you going/have you been?

I'm really looking forward to some corned beef and cabbage and a few black and tans on St. Patty's Day. Mmmmmmm! I'm gonna be a methane machine the next day, though. :D

My mum's grandmother was Irish (She married a black guy). Does that still count? I still have her blueberry pancake recipe. Is that Irish?

Ooh I looove me some Guiness and Yingling. Those are so Irish. So can I fill in yes?

He guys, I'm sure you already know. But the official Northern Ireland Election thread is open.

I wasn't actually born in ireland, but my irish heritage is over 50% so take that, *****es. :o

Who here besides me is getting drunk for St. Patty's day!?!?!?!?!

I won't be drunk, but I might have one for tradition's sake. I see no point in getting drung, losing my dignity and risking winding up in a fight for the sake of getting a beer hat.

You're like the European division of dmp07 lately.

At any rate, the Irish have long been treated very poorly both in Europe and here in the States. To the point that I've heard them referred to as "the blacks of Europe", as racist as that sounds. The atrocities committed against the Irish people are numerous and horrendous.

Go change your tampon, Miss Crabby Crotch. I think toxic shock is making you moody.

Everyone should take a trip to Ireland sometime. It's a bit of a pain in the ass to get there if you're coming from the States, but it is worth it...

Where in Ireland are you going/have you been?

I have been all over the northern part. We did that the when I went in '94.

I think next year it will be a 2-3 week trip and do some of the north and the rest in the south. :yay:

We ARE toxic shock.

Hahahaha! :D

It's on my wife and I's list of places to go, actually. It's one of the few places she's never been to and I've never been off the continent, so it's high on that list, too.

what i always found funny was that almost every american when you mention ireland thinks they know everything about it and the way people live here

yet i'd say a good 9/10 you's dont know jack s**t

we should see if we can get some of the Trolls from the "say it loud" thread to come over here and start somthing didn't x-chick say she wanted controversy?

I believe Irish is a state of mind. Race is irreleavant. If I was born in the heart of Africa, but like Robert Parrish, can't I be Irish too?
