Me likes the green. My wife's parents are both from Ireland and so between that and my great-grandmother my kids are both blessed with the Blarney and the temper!

We are propably going over again next summer. My son has been there more often than me!

I may be a redhead and I may have a hot temper to match, but I haven't got any Irish in my bloodline that I'm aware of... That doesn't stop me from wearing green on St. Patrick's Day though. But I prefer German or Canadian beer.

At any rate, the Irish have long been treated very poorly both in Europe and here in the States. To the point that I've heard them referred to as "the blacks of Europe", as racist as that sounds. The atrocities committed against the Irish people are numerous and horrendous.

Everyone should take a trip to Ireland sometime. It's a bit of a pain in the ass to get there if you're coming from the States, but it is worth it... :heart:

Where in Ireland are you going/have you been?

I have been all over the northern part. We did that the when I went in '94.

I think next year it will be a 2-3 week trip and do some of the north and the rest in the south.

It's on my wife and I's list of places to go, actually. It's one of the few places she's never been to and I've never been off the continent, so it's high on that list, too.
