Iron Man IRON MAN CG article

But that's just your opinion on opinions

Don't be ridiculous. Opinions are opinions, facts are facts. A fact cannot be disregarded as just someone's opinion, and an opinion cannot be granted with the same status as a fact. How much money Iron Man rakes in domestically in theaters before it's eventually pulled will, provided everyone is honest and accurate, be a fact. It's a concrete number of dollars. There can be no opinions about it. It will be what it will be. How good the movie is, or how convincing the CGI in it is, even if every single person in the world were to agree, which would never happen, is still just opinion. There can never be any scientific method with which to measure the quality of a movie. Different people will always have different opinions. Even with CGI, as I said before, what I might consider perfect and flawless, you might consider no better than a video game.

The landing in Afghanistan of course had to be CGI, but the standing and pointing the repulsors seems a bit unnecessary. But still looked good.
you really think that with such a heavy and robotic suit....they could have made such quick and cool moves?

no way.on iesb.net you have behind the scenes pics. watch how he walks in the suit. there is no way it could have been done.

I think it looked CGI, it was good but you could still tell it was CG especially when he took out the terrorists. The scene where he shoots the missile at the tank could have been done practically because he was just walking. I think this is what ended up happening with SR that they shot both practical and felt that the digital was better and ended up going with that. To actually use the real suits I think they would have to take a lot a way from them to make them move-able, so have the main pieces but they could not cover the joints to make the actor move better, than those could be filled in with CG. Probably a lot harder to do but thats just my opinion.

again: watch the behind the scene footage.
watch RDJ walking in hte suit. he doesnt walk cool. the suit is heavy and its hard to walk ''cool'' in the suit.
