Iron Man Iron Man Preview during Battlestar Galactica

Very cool clip, this kind of high air chase/fight is something we hadn´t seen in a superhero movie yet.

Rather confused here.... Was the clip that aired with BSG the one in the first post?

Or was there another one?

Yes, same clip.

But now there's a new tv spot which I also missed.

I see.... thanks.

That dog fight was rather cool. Cannot wait for this to bve released over this side of the pond

My goodness, can they tone down the classical rock a bit?
By doing that its like theyre aiming for a certain type of audience. Its fine to have classical rock here and there but every darn clip of this movie is loaded with rock songs and quite frankly its annoying....it didn't help Ghost Rider any so I dont know why theyre doing this here.

Btw, this movie just seems so bad ans cheap...and I love Iron Man. I wish they went a little more with a serious and cool Iron Man...its seem like this film is going to be jam packed with witty humor.
I'll watch this on HBO unless I hear it gets stellar reviews.

It was done before in Ang Lee's Hulk and it doesn't look that impressive....a scene like that should seem mind blowing.

Well Tony Stark did make jokes more than your average superhero, in the comics.

Yeah, incase you've never read the earlier stuff, they got Tony down to a "T".

What's wrong with the metal riffs? It's Iron Man, Marvel's original heavy metal superhero.

Showtime, not HBO, is where he's going to debut.

Yeah if I wanted a dark and depressing super hero with orchestra music following him around I'd be over in the batman forum. :oldrazz::woot::im:

I like how the suit talks to him. If nothing else, the effects look fantastic.

Im all for jokes but the whole thing seems way too cheesy for me to take it seriously.

Its cool that he likes metal and Im cool with them putting a few rock songs in there but damn...not everything has to be classic rock. Sheesh. Its really a turn off. If I want to hear the soundtrack I'll go to Best Buy, thnx.

Oh really :o
I don't have showtime....guess I won't watch it then. :hehe:

Classic rock???

The songs he uses in the novelization are older songs but not old enough to be called "classic rock".

I think it's going to fit the film perfectly, I've been waiting for an Iron Man film for so long just like everyone else here. I never found the character in the comics to be one of those "he's so epic he needs an epic score" kind of characters for some reason.

I can't imagine the film/scenes with no rock and just a score in the background. Plus, I'm sure it will be a mix of both.

Well I'm thinking there'll be two different sounds for his voice. The first(what we heard) is when he's talking to the suit to give it orders and the second would be when he's talking through the suit to someone else.

i hope that's the case, because i wasn't feeling the voice. it just sounded like robert downey talking from inside of a trash can.

oh, and what was up with terrance howard's voice?

he sounded really, really goofy.

LoL. I agree with Mr. Credible, Terrance Howard did sound really goofy in that clip. I personally really like the actor, last saw him in Awake with Jessica Alba, but that didn't sound like him in the clip.

Terrance did sound goofy, and kind of awkward with his lines. I do notice that Stark's humor in this seems to be less the cynical, serious variety and more overt humor.

Well you can't blame Terrance for that one. "Whiplash One, what is it?" doesn't exactly roll off the tongue.

anyone found a place you can download it? my unplug plugin for firefox wont even let me 'acquire' it. :)

It was´n´t like that, Hulk just hopped on an aircraft, this feels more like an air combat, and looked pretty cool to me, of course we haven´t seen the whole sequence yet, those clips always have stuff cut out.

Funny, this sequence barely has any humor in the sense of jokes and one-liners, IM´s "gotta be kidding" is more of a natural exclamation, it´s not really a joke. The pilot´s "have no idea" comment is just him saying it as it is, they never saw something like that.
