Some people I know started a debate. Who would win, Iron man or Master Chief if they ever battled each other to death.

Ok first lets look at each background and stats.

MASTER CHEIF
master_chief_complete.jpg

The Master Chief is a SPARTAN-II Super Soldier, a genetically and cybernetically augmented warrior designed to put down rebels and insurgents within the United Nations Space Command. When the powerful alien empire known as the Covenant attacked, the Master Chief and the other Spartan's had a priority shift. Extensive surgical alteration coupled with a ruthless lifelong training regimen has resulted in Master Chief being significantly stronger than even the strongest natural human, and his strength and fighting ability are further augmented by the advanced MJOLNIR power armor he wears.

The Master Chief stands 7 feet tall and weighs approximately 1,000 pounds in full battle armor (2.1 meters and 450 kilograms). He is approximately forty-one years old at the time of the events of Halo: Combat Evolved (2552). Between Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2, the Chief's armor is upgraded from MJOLNIR Mark V to Mark VI. Both iterations of the armor include a helmet with reflective visor so the face of the Chief is never seen: in spite he is seen removing his helmet once in each game, the camera view always conceals the Master Chief's face from the viewers. Master Chief is voiced by Steve Downes in both Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2.

  • Without the suite Master Chief is Advanced carbide ceramic material grafted onto bones to increase durability and strength
  • Protein complex injections to increase muscle density and lower recovery time after injury
  • Body growth hormone pellet injections to boost skeletal and muscle tissue growth
  • Occipital capillary reversal to increase blood flow to the eyes, resulting in enhanced vision and perceptiveness
  • Superconducting neurofilament fibers added to nerve endings, resulting in 400% increase in reflexes and increases in intelligence, memory, and creativity.
IRON MAN
Ironman_mvc2.jpg

Iron Man's powers and abilities derive from the advanced powered armor that he wears. The armor has evolved from a bulky iron suit to a molecularly aligned matrix of crystallized iron enhanced by magnetic fields over layers of other metals like titanium, creating a shell that is pliable, yet capable of great resilience and protection. The suit grants him vast superhuman strength and flight capabilities, and is powered by a combination of solar converters, electrical batteries and an on-board generator that uses beta particle absorption as a fuel source. The suit is also able to convert nearby energy sources, such as heat or kinetic energy into electricity, or even drain electrical energy directly into the batteries for recharge. The suit can be completely sealed for operations in vacuum or underwater, providing its own life support, and is shielded against radiation.

The onboard systems of the armor are controlled by Iron Man's brain patterns, read from a cybernetic interface in his helmet. Sophisticated computers with an artificially intelligent operating system of Stark's own design provide tactical information as well as constant feedback on the suit's status, using internal and external sensors. As noted above, Stark has tried to put safeguards in to make sure that the systems do not actually achieve sentience, although these were once circumvented.
The weapons systems of the suit have evolved over the years, but Iron Man's standard offensive weapon has always been the repulsor beams that are fired from the palms of his gauntlets. Other weapons built into various incarnations of the armor include the unibeam projector in its chest; pulse bolts that pick up kinetic energy along the way, so that they hit harder the further they have to travel; an electromagnetic pulse generator and an energy shield. Other capabilities include generation of ultra-freon, creating and manipulating of magnetic fields, sonic blasts and a holographic generator to create decoys.

So here how it goes. Both men have a week to prepare for battle. They are going to face off in a desert......Who will win? You vote.

What kind of dessert? I think Iron Man would win in a sundae, but the Master Chief might have the advantage in a chocolate cake. ;)

Oops my bad, I meant desert:o

But Chief would kick Iron mans ask in a sunday dessert.

This really isn't much of a fight. Chief is a great soldier, and his armor is certainly great for its task, but it has nothing on Iron Man's armor. Iron Man can fly, has better shielding than the Master Chief (methinks the good ol' Mjolnir armor can't stand up to a punch from the Hulk), and the armor can easily bench press a tank.

What about them plasma grenades that stick? If one of them stick to Iron mans armour, would that have an effect?

In the normal (non-Hulkbuster, non-Thorbuster) Iron Man suit, he's taken punches from beings that can move mountains and held his own against them.

So no, I don't think a Plasma Grenade has the kind of force necessary to do much against Iron Man. Chief would need the rocket launcher and an endless supply of ammunition to have a shot, and even then the rockets wouldn't do much besides knock Iron Man around (i.e. they wouldn't do any serious damage, if any at all). Even if Master Chief made it a close quarters brawl, Iron Man is a notch under the Thing and the Hulk in terms of strength. Heck, it takes a peeved Hulk to rip his helmet off.

Look, I love the Master Chief as much as the next guy, but he's simply outmatched against Iron Man.

In a dessert contest? Any of the Iron Chefs ought to trounce Master Man.

Iron man could take him easy, flight aside iron mans armor has alot more to it,master chief has body armor, thats it,it might have lights and a damage monitor but all and all its a high tech bullet proof vest.Hes got a little bit of strength but cant lift 100 tons and has no weapon source and isnt magentic and doesnt have an x-ray machine in the gauntlet and so on.Master chief has a tuff enough time getting around, iron man has no mobility problems that I can tell.Keep in mind that a plasma grenade has about as much force as a weak blast from some of iron mans enemy. Now this battle can go into the realm of gamera vs godzilla in that we dont know how thinck gameras hide is so mabey godzillas atomic breath couldent harm him BUT we have a few facts here, the master chiefs got no link to those things and im betting iron man could dodge it and we dont know if it would stick or not,I belive they were designed to stick to armor in that universe.I also want to point out that with flight MC is done but i dont think he has any more chance in a ground battle,Funny thing is that armors named after thors hammer. The mind enhancement thing.......well,ok but since ive never seen any examples of this I will say mabey hes got an intelict greater then tonys but still, tonys pretty crafty and the aliens MC fights are dumb as nails(even on high difficulty) so it wont mean much even if he can match tony. The iron man armors sleeker and more fit for battle.

Iron Man would take him down. Especially if it's Extremis IM.

Iron Man. Halo sucks.
we get you like iron man better but you dont have to insult one of the best games on the xbox

Yeah, he doesn't like XBox. He probally would have insulted halo even if it was Master Chief versus Yogi Bear.

With a week of prep? That makes it even worse, Tony would totally own Master Chief. I don't think that even with those freaky alien weapons you can pick up in the game would he have much of chance of beating Tony. If you make it Extremeis Iron Man then you can pretty much call it quits since he can control a large number of armors at once. What more can I say besides..............

Dude, who wouldn't Yogi Bear own?

No, Battle Cat needs He-Man to even exist, and then it would be two-on-one, which would be unfair.

Now Dino is some stiff competition, but I think Yogi's exceptional scheming abilities would win the day.

Strealing picnic baskets and battling man licking dinosaurs are two different things. :o
