The director of many fans' favorite Star Wars movie has passed away. He had the greatest, boyish wonder when talking about ESB on the DVD features.

God just failed.

Hard.

Wow, he will greatly be missed.

Thank you for making one of my, if not my all time, favorite films.

Man, first Leslie Nielsen, then Kershner. :( This is the worst Monday ever.

He had a good, long run. But still said to see him go.

RIP to the director of probably my favorite film.

Robocop 2's director right? Yes, I loved it. True, sad Monday this is.

Thank you for your wonderful contribution to my chyildhood, Irvin. Star Wars wouldn't have turned out the same without you. You will be missed.:csad:

The Empire Strikes Back is still, in some ways, my favorite film. Thank you Irvin Kirshner for your masterful work.

R.I.P. :( He was an awesome director and he always seemed so nice in interviews he did.

:csad: R.I.P to the director of the greatest sequel in cinema history.

His ESB is the foundation that keeps the SW universe afloat in spite of the God forsaken prequels and tepid ROTJ. Can you imagine a film being that good to do that? Strong with the force it is.
