The sword master behind nearly every sword fight filmed in the last 60 years passed away yesterday. Without him, Errol Flynn would have lost fingers, Darth Vader would never have picked up a light saber (he performed all of Vader’s sword work), and The Princess Bride would have been two guys slapping each other. Not to mention his work on The Lord of the Rings, each Pirates of the Caribbean movie, Highlander, The Mask of Zorro, the Star Wars prequels, The Three Musketeers, several 007 movies,…the list is endless.

RIP Bob Anderson.

Rest in Peace Bob Anderson. You really deserve all the credit for making these amazing swordfights on film be what they are and remain memorable.

Vader v. Luke in The Empire Strikes Back is my favorite movie fight of all time.

RIP Bob. You were a master at your art, and will be missed.

He did a lot for action genre In movies. He was guy who worked with Errol Flynn, worked on a couple of James Bond films, did Darth Vader's fighting In Empire Strikes back and
Return of the Jedi, doubled for Sean Connery In Highlander,to working on Mask of Zero and The Lord of the rings and Pirates of the Caribean films.RIP.

Man it sucks to see such a master swordsman go. RIP Bob.

I was just watching the extras on LOTR and hearing about the contributions Anderson made.
