BvS Is BvS setting up Bruce Wayne to be the bridge between all DC superhero films?

Is he basically going to be the DC movieverse RDJ ambassador role? Also shouldn't that be Superman's role? It seems like Cavill is being passed up for Affleck to carry this torch around. I'm not sure this is the way to go, but I do understand the status that Affleck carries as a bigger star an established professional in hollywood.

I think DC/WB are embarrassed of Superman. Siegel and Shuster would be turning in their graves to find out what Superman has become. Sure Man of Steel was the first film of a movie franchise nobody ever thought would happen and sure this movie franchise's Batman is being introduced in the followup to Superman's movie, Man of Steel, but nevermind that anyhow. Not only will Henry Cavill be recast as Superman probably in the middle of Batman V Superman, but BatGod is going to wipe out the most embarrassing thing to ever happen to the comic book industry. I think Ben Affleck came onboard to specifically take credit for being the one responsible for Superman's last nail in the coffin. Will Superman appear again? Maybe, but probably only as a love interest from here on out. He's way too embarrassing anymore to be apart of the two most iconic pop culture hero's ever to share the screen. The title should be called Batman & Batman: Dawn of Justice IMHO.

Batman is the one with the watchful eye and the skepticism of the superheroes. Superman is the one who believes in bringing the team together the most I would think. Just because Affleck is doing SS doesn't mean that Superman's role won't expand as the main man.

I think they should split the duties up a bit. Superman crossing over to a Flash film (with their race as part of the movie of course ) and Batman crossing over to a Cyborg film. Maybe having both show up in Wonder Woman's film.

Why is Batman the ambassador? He's in one other movie so far and it stars the Joker. Superman's appearance is the reason why all of the other heroes step into the light, he'll probably cameo in WW and Aquaman.

@spock & Tra-El, isn't it alittle bit early to be making predictions about superman being pushed to the side and batman taking over?

After talking to Mark Hughes (variety) I've come to believe that superman will be the 'big bang' of the DCCU in the sense that his appearance breathes life into the world (Batman rediscovering his purpose, Atlanteans and Amazons reveal themselves to the world etc.....) and that everything that happens from now on will be connected to superman in someway.
Needless to say I am certain that superman will be a central player (perhaps being even THE central player) in the universe but BVS's portrayal of the two characters and it's reception will determine which of the two will be the alpha IMO.


Personally though I couldn't give a crap if batman is the founder or the leader of the JL and infact I don't even care if batman beats superman in the fight (if he does maybe it'll stop all the whiney fanboys from calling superman OP).
What superman really needs is a good portrayal on screen (the first since superman the movie IMO) just to get the ball rolling and restore some faith in the character and whether that happens through him being a central character or a supporting one is of little consequence because when the audience warm up to a character they will demand more of it.

I think there has been a problem making Superman a credible superhero for a more realistic, darker universe - however I think Snyder nailed it in MOS. It's my no.1 CBM (to date )
As for the original thread question – No, I don't think Batman will be the bridge. Batman in Suicide Squad just makes sense, I fully expect all the characters to cross over. For example, i'd expect Superman to appear in The Flash movie rather than Batman. Also, Suicide Squad is a great way to introduce multiple villains – even ones that don't appear in the movie can be mentioned or hinted at (names on cell doors etc.) – establishing them in the Universe... in fact villains are one area that DC can wipe the floor with Marvel. Zod alone was a greater villain - so have high hopes for the others.
