Is Daniel Craig playing Bond?

He's not very good looking though is he? I only know two people in this country who like him and practically all of america go mental over him. He looks like he's just been in a fight - women are supposed to go weak at their knees when they see him but he's a bit of a dud really though don't you think? He's just not Bond for me. I always thought he was really bad casting - it was Sony's decision to sack Pierce and he wanted Clive Owen to replace him - that could've been interesting. Daniel Craig comes across as being a thug though and not a very 007 looking one at that.

Well, I know a lot of women who find craig very good looking. he sure looks more masculin/harder than Brosnan, which is great, since Bond has to look hard. He is a killer for God's sake! That's his job. In the novels, he is handsome and elequant, but there is an expression of cruelty in his face that Daniel Craig managed to express eprfectly. Physically, he is closer to Sean Connery and the novels Bond than any of the other actors casted as 007.

Have to disagree with you there fella - I happen to know PLENTY of women in the U.K. that think DC is a bit of alright - even more so after CR.

You say it was Brosnans' idea to have Owen replace him but at the end of the day, the decision wasnt up to him - it was up to Brocolli and Wilson; they went with Craig, and I, for one, am damn glad they did.

And if you have watched CR and still think he's a dud as Bond - then I honestly wonder just what your idea of Bond is.

Ditto.

Daniel Craig is a perfect Bond.

Craig has done 1 Bond movie and despite prior criticisms, he's already been hailed by critics and fans alike as the second best actor to play Bond if not the first.

Craig is for sure my favorite Bond next to Connery.

He turned the role down?

That's news to me - I wasnt even aware he was offered it; just that he was the focus of a lot of speculation

Nah, he flat out turned it down. Thats why I can't understand why some people are still pushing for him to be Bond. He rejected the role.

Owen said he just didn't want to be known as Bond, I read that somewhere.
