She gave off a Kara-vibe but in context of show, that was about the only thing that felt familiar. Besides, if she had been Kara, as Kal-El's cousin, she would've been able to get out of the Phantom Zone.

it think it was kinda hinted at that...jor el might've had some sort of feelings for her...specially since shes the only one who jor el sent to the phantom zone so that she could be saved. I doubt jor el would have feelings for his own niece

I don't think she is but this is Smallville so honestly who knows, it could be its the smallville universe Supergirl.

Also in the animated series Kara was not a direct relation of Clark but he called her cousin anyway. Smallville has borrowed many things from the Cartoon, i.e Braniac being from Krypton and the fact that in the cartoon Jor-el wanted to put people in the Phantom Zone where they could survive. so if they really wanted to they could say that she could be Supergirl and just because she is the same race they are related.

But i honestly don't think they will do it. I also don't think they should do it either.

Or maybe he wanted to protect his niece...he was married, I doubt he had feelings for her and she could be Kara...I mean she could be lieing to Clark for some reason to protect him. Maybe if he knew she was his cousin, he would try to protect her rather then leave to save the world....Am I reading too much into this?

Part of the premis of the Smallville story is that Clark is ALONE. If you bring his cousin or Kara into the mix then that takes away a large part of Clark's inner feelings and turmoil and I'm not sure that that's a route the show is ready to go down.

I don't know, I think that is kind of annoying. Maybe they are trying something new. Maybe by bringing in Kara they are going to solve all of that. I'm just going to see what happens thursday.

I had the same feeling at first. You have the phantom zone, a Kryptonian girl, and the Kryptonian girl is trying to help the hero escape. It was almost like Supergirl: The Movie, except this time she's in Zaltar's position.
