i wouldn't say that bale has no range, he's not a bad actor by a long shot; but at the same time, he's not the savior of hollywood that some fanboys make him out to be because he lost some weight for a role, and played the best on-screen batman (hardly a difficult task). he was downright flawless as patrick bateman, though, and that should go down as one of the best performances in history, but nothing else he's done has even come close to that.

Who said he is a savior of Hollywood. He is just a great actor.

The thing that i dont get is why we are talking about the same five movies again and again. What happens with the rest of Bale's filmography? He has made more movies than batman begins, american psycho , the prestige, the machinist or equilibrium.

And not, he isnt the saviour of hollywood or something like that. He isnt the best actor in the history. He is simply a great actor with amazing talent.

So, johnny depp must be a bad actor because he always play weird characters. And people like gary oldman, alan rickman or john malkovich must be bad actors because they almost always plays evil characters. That means a lack of talent or a lack of different offers?
