It did look like those soldier things could have indicated a Darkseid foreshadowing as part of the movie, but I also think Brainiac could easily work as a part of the movie as well. I think people have just accepted that it is Lex and Doomsday and not leaving room for what could be larger story at hand.

You know you can ask these questions in the "All Things" thread without having to create new threads each time. Just to let you know bud.

I actually just realized I can make threads, so may have got excited for a second :p Back on topic though, is Brainiac still completely out to most fan minds for being in BvS?

Well if Brainiac was in the movie we'd know by now wouldn't we? Be it from rumours or trade announcements/ official confirmation. Also you have to consider if he was in it , who in the main BVS cast would be playing him? Because Brainiac wouldn't be a side character.

I don't doubt there maybe Easter eggs for these characters though.

Having Brainiac or Darkseid along with Lex & Doomsday, next to the Superman, Wonder Woman & Batman dynamic would, literally, be too much going on.

I'd think they should save Darkseid for 'Man Of Steel II' & Brainiac would be best for the JL film.

You should ease up on making new threads sooner than planned, buddy.

We probably won't have either one in this film.

2 threads in the same day by same person is pretty rare on the hype these days. Definitely free spirited new members think they are covering new ground, but new threads are pointless as everything has been covered at some point. lol

Brainiac. Lex investigates and studies the events of Superman. He owns Zod's ship, Zod's body and other krypton in tech left behind. On Zod's ship, they key used to override Jor-el is actually the brainiac key. Brainiac, knowing that Superman's existence breaks kryptonian law, informs Lex on how to destroy Superman. In a compartment on the ship is a Doomsday vessel (egg or whatever you choose to call it) that needs kryptonian dna to bring it to life. By using Zod's dna, being that he was exposed to the sun and absorbed its energy, that power was transferred into the doomsday creature. After Lex's failure to destroy Superman, Brainic creates a vessel for himself to become the flesh and metal villain that we all know. The two reasons that make me believe this is that Lex knows a lot more about kryptonian tech than he should and the bot floating behind him when he says "if man won't kill God, the devil will do it." Hoping it's something similar to this.

It's true, but that thread (and rumors/speculation which is technically where it belongs if not in an individual thread) moves way too fast to really give proper discussion to topics that deserve more. It isn't practical to sift through the general discussion thread to find them and re-comment on them (breaking the flow of the new vein of discussion). Plus you can't comment in closed threads! I'm actually in favor of more individual threads.

Um, are you actually expecting him to sift through and find this in general discussion or rumors/speculation? And how would be comment on it now in a closed discussion?

Snyder did say in one of his interviews that they're saving Brainiac for 'later down the road' (close paraphrase), by which he probably meant the Justice League films.

I think we may well see Darkseid eventually in the JL. I'd love to see Brainiac, though! Since JL will be a two-parter I think trying to have both those villains even in two separate films might be a bit much... My guess is that it'd be one or the other. And we do have a foreshadowing of Darkseid, so if I had to guess I'd say just Darkseid.

No clue how things are going to go, but I like the above.
Maybe LexOS isn't simply LexOS....
