Is NYC pizza really all that?

I'm in Jersey, I love both NYC and Jersey Pizza. I lived in Florida for 2 years, the pizza, terrible, probably the worst I've ever had.

Although I've had Philly pizza which is alright but not compared to NJ's and NYC's pizza.

Naa I'm big on pizza I've traveled to alot of states and Canada and such, and nothing compares to most of NY's pizza spots.

yea pizza is pizza but i can tell the difference in quality and taste.. so far Villa Maria in east rockaway and Rosas pizzaria in nyc gets my vote for best pizza.

Philadelphia and NJ have the best Pizza. Why? Because the cheese is not only good but bountiful, and the dough is soft and doughy.

NJ Pizza is the best, and its like someone said its the water.

Is NYC pizza all that? Yes. Yes it is. Outside of NYC some of the best pizza I have had is Spiritus in Ptown Mass and Positano's in Ocoee Florida. Pizza is my favorite food group =)

I don't count Sabarro's though becuase it's a chain (and is not all that).

Pizza Hut, Domino's and other franchises come up with gimmicks for their new inventions, but the one mainstay has always been some new type of New York-style pizza, whereas Domino's has the "Brooklyn Style" pizza, Pizza Hut had that "New Yorker style" pizza, and so forth. I've had pizzas from the east coast, and pizza from here in Chicago, and I'll take ours any damn day of the week, man.

Yeah NYC Pizza is pretty official. Especially this spot down in Jacks Heights over in Queens that my cousin takes me to when Im there in the summer.

Chicago Pizza is nice but thats a lotta dough. Im cool with deep pan like Pizza Hut but not THAT deep pan.

They definetly beat them tofu joints in Cali over at Venice. Although the ones at El Segundo were kinda nice (forgot the spot).....

I've been to NY and I've never been to Chicago. The best pizza I've ever had is when Papa John's is good.

I've been to New York but never Chicago . Although I have been to Unos and they have good pizza. That Chicago pizza (pictured)does look really good. If I ever travel there I would like to hit that place . I think New York has alot of good pizza. The best I ever had was this Pizza shop in Venice , Italy that sold "new york style" pizza. It was the best tasting Pizza my friends and I ever had and went there three times over the course of two days.

I don't like any of the franchise joints though like sbarros , papa johns or papa ginos. I think dominos is ok but not the best.
