It seems like forever since we got an issue to me, have we experience our first burp in the three times a month schedule?

I think Wacker recently mentioned that there would only be two issues in March, but we'll also get an ASM Extra #3... making it 3 spidey comics...

The extra week was given to JrJr to help him properly finish Character Assasination... the last part will be out next week.

Well, it was probably bound to happen. I subscribe to AMZ so usually I'm anxious to get to the mail box but no Spidey's for at least two weeks.

Damn it! And Marvel was doing so well there for a while. :(

Yeah... though 14 months is still incredible when you think about it, and March 31st ends on a Tuesday, so it could all be simply one day late (as far as the 3x per month schedule goes)...

:yay:

well lets not forget he was also in X-men/Spider-man #4 and Sider-man & The Human Torch in...BAHIA DE LOS MUERTOS! 1 shot.

so even if we get 2 issues of ASM and ASM extra #3 he's still in the title of 5 books this month. + New Avengers. so he's in a total of 6 comics in March.

Also, the next issue is double-sized. :)

oh yeah I forgot about it being Double Sized. you know what that means 3.99

Yeah, in March were only getting 2 issues. but ASM #588 is going to be a double sized conclusion issue to Character Assisninations. The only thing I'm wondering is why are they bringing back the Spot. Out of all the villains that you could bring back, seriousley.

Because some people like the Spot.

Not to mention that they are going to revamp the Spot a bit... maybe make him a tad more "dangerous"...

God... let's hope...

:yay:

Anybody remember that story with the spot, Grizzlie, Gibbon, and that kangaroo guy. One of the few issues where I just could stop laughing. Also, that issue with that bunny chick, and the Gibbon, and Grizzlie was hilarious. That issue didn't have the spot in it, but if it did, it would have been gold!

For some reason all of my ASM issues from my subscription are usually around a week late. Has marvel started sending their subscribers issues later, or is it just me?

Ah yes, the Legion of Losers. It was Spectacular Spider-Man 246.

I thought Spot died after he helped Tombstone break out of the Vault. I hate major continuity flub ups. :cmad:

I've read somewhere that his "death" (or at least, his reappearance), will be explained...

I have an issue where he is shot in the face with a shotgun by Kraven. I believe it is the same arc where MJ beats him up, and Peter is in jail but thinks he is someone else.
I know it was drawn by Luke Ross. I think those were my fav Spidey stories for sure.

I think you're mixing the villians. That was Chamelon

Yes you are correct. I was suffering from super-villain dyslexia.

I thought we were talking about Chameleon for a sec there... Yes I like the Spot. I did not know he died? That's interesting.

When will we see a Chameleon story? I think we need a good Chameleon story more than we need a story about the Spot.

We got a bad Chameleon story: Spider-Man meets Pres. Obama and saves him from the Chameleon's evil clutches.

Hahaha, I didn't read that issue.
That makes me kind of angry they just kind of threw in the Chameleon like that.
I'm glad I stayed away from that issue.
WHY couldn't they have X-Men meet Obama instead.
Or something that remotely makes sense. It would be really cool if Osborn met Obama. I don't know what they would talk about. But I don't think Obama would like Osborn too much.

I guess I'm kind of straying way off topic here...

I think the problem is you're trying to find how it would fit in continuity, when IMO it was just a fun throw-away story that wasn't meant to be canon.

EDIT: Oh, while we're on the topic... Obama DID meet Osborn! Yes, it's true. I believe it was a recent issue of Thunderbolts when Obama basically scolded Osborn on Air-Force 1 for running a shady SHIELD program or something. (Now if only he would take as hard a line against the AIG executives, but like you I'm straying off topic...)

The problem with Chameleon is that he doesn't make sense anymore. How could he be a soviet spy when he fist met Spidey, since thay would have been 1999 or something now.
